D&D ; Double the Fun.

They land just outside the turnstiles, and in the empty old rail line behind them DonnieBoy's vehicles. Of course the Turtle Mech was crouched to fit, the ShellRaiser and Battle Shell parked and recently cleaned, Lee had them spotless everything encase one of them or more came through for a tour, the SewerRocket was there in pieces again after another launch. The Patrol Buggies clipped together.


" welcome to our lair." he smiles giving Don the opportunity to choose where he wanted to see first, they had a view here of the lair's main floor with the dip where the cushions where and the tv. Yep still the old crap box though DonnieBoy had the tech know how to build a massive wall of screens. Shinigami and Karai were snuggled on the couch under Leo's blankey, the same one he's had as a kid, also his larping cape. The young women wave at them.

Don 'wow's softly as they land near the turnstiles. An old subway station? Awesome!

When he spotted the vehicles, he was sort of amused to find that he was pretty sure of the approximate order in which they had been built, though all of them These all still very much had the scavenged parts feel to them. While Don's own equipment is still mostly scavenged, he has sort of managed to take that feel out of his equipment, making it sleeker, newer looking.

Part of that was in his effort to get some of the items presentable so they could be patented.

That was all in one quick glance, as he panned his gaze around the lair. He doesn't really pause anywhere until he's had a chance to do a full overall sweep. Once that's complete, he returns the wave of the couple on the couch.

"This is awesome. So, do I get the nickel tour?" Basically leaving it to DonnieBoy where to start. Don's not going to wander in without his counterpart leading the way!

DonnieBoy soaks up the first reaction, he actually felt bad for pulling Don away from his mate, but glad to take him from that crowd - DonnieBoy himself had no issue with being in tight quarters. He smiles and gestures to the two young men as Don waves back, " I know you sort of met them but these two are Lee's mates or more like he is theirs, the ninja lady Karai and Shinigami the witch." he reintroduces and then for the gals though they were more familiar. " Ladies, Donatello Splinterson." And that done he gestures he'll show Don the lair and then take him to his lab. If they went straight to the lab it was right there but they can circle back.


So he takes Don around to the corridor that lead to their rooms, well three of their rooms. With Raph and Mona sharing now, he lets Don peek in any doors left open, normally he wouldn't but hey if it is open it is fair game. And today thats all of them, Mikey's chaotic room and yes that is a pile of boxes near his bed growing a farm of mould that Mikey would probably eat, his musical instruments guitar, ukulele were away but the guy had drawings and note pad pages full of lyrics scattered everywhere, and his DonnieBoy built portal freezer, there is checking for IceCreamKitty in there but she's not there right now so possibly int he kitchen one which was modified so she had a window to the outside world and could watch tv or meow and purr at them. Raph's room had chompy's side alon to the bigger bed nest, - of course it was a modified room now, when Lee moved the next eldest brother got to expand his room and make space for his mate and their little alien son. The drum set still in pride place but with plenty of space to move around it. The claw marks Slash left in the wall framed now. Then DonnieBoy he shows Don his room, he and April were not sharing as yet but she obviously stayed there lot, there was a cupboard he built in there for her and a dresser for her stuff, but Don him self didn't have much in way of clothing and it was all in his pockets now, what was in his room was a couple of white boards, gadgets he was half way through. " I know their self explanatory but Rah's room, Mikey's room and mine." on the way down to this spot. Letting Don sate his curiousity how he wanted. DonnieBoy had started a sort of chart of dimension x door ways keeping it in here spread across the three white boards was the doors they new of he had them labeled - Don's own was Third Earth, along the side of the board notes about potential hot spots like EarthFourteen and 80'sEarth. What looked like a three foot tall robotic turtle let out a greeting in binary and DonnieBoy pats the bots head fondly, like a son, or another brother. " Hey buddy, this is Donatello Splinterson, Don, meet MetalHead." the android turtle rapidly beeped and buzzed and bleeped out binary welcomes to Don clunking his way closer to offer a hand. Which was a step up on firing them at people!

Erica's whisper to have fun, the quick kiss that he'd briefly returned and her wink are still sort of flitting through his head as he hops over the turnstiles. But he doesn't mind the separation. It shouldn't be long, and it gives her a chance to enjoy the bustle of a large group that he just... can't.

DonnieBoy's currently quiet lair with just the two girls curled up on the couch mostly ignoring them is really much more Don's speed.

He bows to the ladies as they're more properly introduced, repeating their names. He doesn't actually expect them to get up and return the bow, and he doesn't mind informatlity, but he will definitely greet them respectfully.

Wow their Karai is different from the one he knows. Sort of colder and harsher... and warmer at the same time. The Karai from his own world is much more neutral, or at least plays closer to the vest. Heh... a lot like Leo.

Don is amused by the bedrooms, how easily he could tell which one belonged to who. How similar and yet so very different they were from the ones of himself and his brothers back home.

He doesn't say much during the tour, but is definitely taking it all in. It's sort of a combination of the ninja eye that Master Splinter has trained into him, and his own natural inclination to observe the world around him. Don does briefly pause at the map of the dimension doors. Barely touching it, actually taking a moment to sort of committing it to memory.

Oh... Metalhead is awesome! Don recognized the fond gesture as DonnieBoy patted the robot. Don's pretty sure he's done similar things with HAILI. He gets it.  Don knows binary as a series of written ones and zeroes, but not necessarily how it translated into sound like this. He's pretty sure he's catching on though. He doesn't catch things word for word, but he definitely interprets the beeps as a welcome. Confirmed by the handshake.

"Wow! Hello, Metalhead, it's nice to meet you too. You are very impressive." He compliments the AI itself, used to speaking to HAILI in a similar fashion, then he grins at his counterpart. "Very cool!"

DonnieBoy saw the interest in his board, and he is used to having Mikey add things to it. Like the smiley face in the corner so he gestures to it, " if you want to add anything any time, could even send you a copy if you would like one."


He was definitely proud of MetalHeadand to help out, " He came up with the binary on his own, he translates the zeros into beeps and buzzes are ones the bleeping spaces between his words. He chose his own language, what gender he wanted to identify as annnd taught himself most social interactions... aside from panty collecting, I only just cleaned out that protocol and I think it was Mike's doing." bluuuushes oh he knows it was Mikey's doing!

And with that he leads on showing Don their dojo, the wide multi carpeted space and the tree, squat but with a good wide trunk and dark green leaves. His family didn't really bow entering the dojo but there is a reverence to the space none the less, the lean nerd unawares more spiritually trained Don might pick up on Splinters essence still lingering, most strongest in a patch in front of the tree and the photo shelf.


Beyond it the traditional Japanese doors but with a very untraditional set of art work of their extended family. With space for more. He let's Don explore the area, in no rush. And gesturing, [color =#8B008B] "back there is Leo's room, same deal with the others the door is open its fair game for looking in." [/color] and the room is neat he knows with a large bed for three and obvious additions or dresser and bed side tables mismatched and fixer uppered for Karai and Shini's belongings.

Don turned when Donnie spoke. "I'd love a copy. Thanks. No need to reinvent the wheel."

Don is definitely impressed by Metalhead! And the face he makes at the panty collecting. The programming, and it's ability to learn is incredible! And he really included both his counterpart and the AI in the discussion. "I have to admit, you speak a little quickly for me just yet, but I'll get there. There are some similar parts in my world, and getting this sort of range of motion! Wow. Metalhead, we're definitely going to have to introduce you to HAILI."

Don paused at the doorway to the dojo. In part because he just couldn't quite bring himself to walk into what was clearly a dojo without bowing to it, even though Donnie definitely had not done so. And also the space just felt... maybe not sacred, but... spiritual at the very least. "Whoa..."

Sure, Donnie had just walked in, but Don... couldn't. He bowed to the space, actually lower than he would at home. Their own dojo didn't feel like this! He moved into the space and while he moved sort of along the wall at first, checking out Lee's room, but he's drawn to the tree, carefully circling around it. Just baaaarely letting his hand touch the trunk, closing his eyes, just... feeling.

Don's eyes are closed when he stops in the front of the tree. He puts his hands together, says a short prayer that's really more of a greeting than anything else. He opens his eyes and cocks his head at the photo.

"Your father was... human before? He feels more... imposing than mine."

He watches Don check out the dojo and he does brush a hand over the worn smooth bark. From the years of them climbing on it, from the way the water fell on it when it rained and drained off around the crating around the edges. He might not pick up on the spiritual feel of his dad lingering but he feels the warmth. And smiles joining Don and looks over the photos nodding pointing at the black and white one that promoted the question he guessed, " Yeah, I did offer to turn father back when I worked out the retromutagen but he refused. That picture is of Hamato Yoshi, his wife, Tang Shen and Miwa. Also know as Karai when she was just a baby. They used to live in Japan, there... there... Our Shredder, Oroku Saki used to be best of friends with dad, raised as brothers, our grandfather through Dad had one of the last dojos and ninja clans, having removed his rival clan much earlier one, the Foot clan, only he couldn't harm the clan leaders son, Oroku Saki and so raised him beside Yoshi. They once had been friends, brothers, but Saki began to learn of his heritage and became bitter and hateful and vengeful, also there was rivalry over Shen. It came to an end with a fight and a blow meant for Dad took Shens life, the dojo was burnt to the ground the clan turned into Foot members and dad survived. Not knowing Saki had lived and taken Miwa too, he thought she had perished too in the fire. He moved to New York as Shen had wanted and brought us, had a run in with the Kraang, became mutated along with us. " he tells the story.


Yeah it meant Karai was technically their older adopted sister, and it made hers and Lee's relationship a little weird. But he'd gotten used to it.


He grins at the admission, " having seen your dad in action I know they are on a par as far as imposing go... but I get it, one of my favourite lessons was when he brought me in here to teach me to like falling down... it was a lesson about not forcing April back into our lives after a accident before she was ready to. Hurt like the dickens."


He doesn't rush Don, yes he has much to show him as far as Kraang tech and mutagen but he is in no rush. Not to mention it was nice in the dojo!

Don is smiling at the need for a bioprotection suit in some of the other dimensions.

"I'm not sure we have anything like that at the moment, but I'll come up with something. I think there are some partial ones in the space cruiser we stole from the Triceratons."" He considers that a moment, sort of going through a mental inventory of what they might have on hand that could work, as well as the beginnings of some design ideas.

He's chuckling at the idea of the two AIs torturing the Leos. "Two AIs collaborating of their own accord would be sooo cool!" Oh shell yes! That would be all sorts of awesome!

When Donnie tells the story of his own Master Splinter Don listens attentively. He waits until it's finished to speak again.

"Definitely a lot of familiar names there, though some notable differences. Our Master Yoshi and his friend Yukio Mashimi were street rats until they were adopted and trained by the Ancient One. Who also adopted Tang Shen. She is the one who sort of adopted our Master Splinter, back when he was still a rat. And though both Yoshi and Mashimi loved Tang Shen, she only loved Yoshi. Later, Mashimi and Yoshi joined the ranks of the Guardians, a group of humans sworn to protect the Utroms who had crashlanded on Earth millennia ago.

Don is sort of getting the impression that Donnie doesn't feel this space, not really. It was like... the other turtle couldn't feel his own Master here, and the emotions from the tale. The love for his sons that had in the end been enough to make him turn down Donnie's offer. And it's sort of blowing his mind that Donnie doesn't seem to feel that! He continues his story though.

"Yoshi moved quickly through the ranks. Over time Mashimi grew jealous of his brother, who was so highly respected by the Guardians, and who had won Shen. That jealousy drove him to kill her and turn on the Guardians, telling their former prisoner, and then mortal enemy, an utrom who took the mantle of Oroku Saki, where they were. When Yoshi discovered what Mashimi had done to Shen, he invaded the Foot Headquarters and killed his former brother. But the damage had been done, and the Utroms relocated to New York, Yoshi and the pet rat that Shen had so loved along with them. Yoshi was later killed in an attack on the utrom by the Shredder. Master Splinter hid in the sewers and found us not long after."

Wow... Donnie really doesn't feel his own father's presence here... Not really. Maybe only a vague awareness.

"That's... not exactly what I meant..." Don admitted of his use of the word imposing. "My father is an incredible ninja. A true master of his art, but... when not actually fighting he doesn't exude it... He doesn't feel imposing. Not like yours. Though... your Splinter is Hamato Yoshi... and our Yoshi feels more imposing than Master Splinter does too."

Yes, the same Master Yoshi Don just said was killed before they could have met him. And yes, he did just apply present tense to both Yoshis. He's gently touching the tree again. It's existence is amazing, but the way it still holds Splinter's presence that still fills the dojo... that's incredible.

" I have some Kraang exo suits and one of the space suits that never got used if you would like to use both to reverse engineer and base something on. It's probably an idea to build them anyways encase, especially as we get further into this problem with the kraang and KraangSubPrime and their proclivity with using mutagen." Because he understands Don's unease around it and so a way from his counterpart to build something to protect himself and his brothers? definitely!


DonnieBoy laughs and nods, " indeed and it will be fascinating, a great way to study conciousness and how it grows - how it comes about naturally... um sort of naturally," given that both Haili and MetalHead are AI's. but it was fscinating to DonnieBoy and oh he wished he could be a part of the scientific world in this universe of his. Ah well.


It was DonnieBoy's turn to listen intently and wow, gap or gasp a bit at Don's fathers story. " so in your universe Hamato Yoshi is like your grandfather... thats sooo cool.... sad how it all went down, especially for your father, but cool. It's amazing he retained so much and was able to teach yous from there, thats really really incredible, though rats, uh normal rats are quiet intelligent and have been shown to have decent memories -" fascinated and yep whilst the youth could feel the warmth and comfort this space added. He wasn't aware of the gather spirit of his own father. And further indicates this by looking about the space, like he felt the something but wasn't as trained or acutely aware of what he was sensing. " Lee sometimes speaks to himself here. I think he uses it as a way to hear out loud his thoughts you know? but sometimes it sounds like he is talking to father.'


There, in the shade of the tree the always same spot shade cause of the way the lamps glowed down on the tree and the natural light from above came down, Master Splinter gathered, but DonnieBoy couldn't pick up on it.


He waits until Don is ready to move out to the next area, though he wouldn't mind if the stay here.

"I'd appreciate that. Thanks!" Heck yeah, he'd like to see the exosuit and the other options for environmental protection suits. He also had a couple ideas based on what he'd seen in 2105. But-- He shudders at the mention of mutagen. Yeah... not looking forward to that. He'll do this! He will help, but... He's definitely nervous about mutagen.

Oooh... YES! He wants to see the AIs interact! "I'll bet if we wrote it up, April... uh... our April could help us publish it. At least in my world." He's not sure about here, but maybe in time a path for that would present itself too. "Speaking of, when I get home, I need to ask her if the patent paperwork came in!" How could he have forgotten that earlier?

Don nods at what Master Splinter retained being pretty incredible, but Yoshi's pet rat had pretty much lived in the Guardian's dojo, so... it sort of made sense too.

"He is." Don commented, maybe a little cryptically about Lee talking to his father in here, rather than himself. He touched the tree again, just... feeling it for a moment, before Hamato Yoshi appeared, and DonnieBoy... didn't seem to notice...

Don finds that sad. He bows to the ninja master near the tree then looks at his counterpart. "Have you ever done guided meditation?"

Lee could use chi, certainly DonnieBoy has at least had some sort of meditation training!

Sure, Don would love to see the rest of the lair, especially DonnieBoy's workspace, but... yeah, Don's definitely shocked that his counterpart can't feel this space!

DonnieBoy pats Don's shoulder at the shudder and grins, " promise to have the mutagen locked up for good not even Mikey could get into it." He swears and then looks a little amazed and puzzled, " huh never thought of reaching out to say April's dad Kirby to see if he knows someone who would publish my works with theirs or as mine or co author... but heckyeah I'd be all for your April doing something like that... huh want me to remind you when you get back encase a certain pretty brunette distracts you?" only a verrrry light tease. Because well he can't talk he he knew damned well that he became very distracted around KidApril. Case in point his almost falling all over himself at her admission that they might try for hybrids in five years. And a little dreamy with the sheepish, " its a brodate for that ... or aidate?... I can't see MetalHead refuse, he likes to be a home body but he also enjoys the occassional adventure out." puzzled for a moment.



The last question threw, so did the answer and the clear question of Don meant all over his face, Donnie shakes his head, " I mean Leo has been inviting us to take part very enthusiastically but I haven't taken part in much meditational side of our training, he insist he wants us all to come to the training very willingingly not forced into the routine.... Why?" curious and now he was noticing that don was noticing something else about the dojo -


He looks about, now sensing, something and maybe his own gaze pauses ont he slight and only shade the tree threw. But he still doesn't quiet see the spirit lingering under the tree.


And the spirit is patient, he knows one day, maybe today? for one of them the reasont o connect would become clear? Indeed the tall rat puts out very regal vibes, mostly out of habit, alsways taught to have a good posture and put out an air of calm and auhtority.


Donnie chuckles then, " was thinking of one training match, us verses dad, and he got purposefully drunk for the match, and he still beat our tails."

"Heh... thanks." Don appreciates the mutagen being locked up, but Donnie is right. They're going to need some sort of protection from it, and that will required testing and... Well, he'll do it, but Don's not looking forward to that.

"Oh you should!" Don very much likes the idea of Donnie reaching out to someone who might be able to help him publish. "If the future we saw actually comes to pass... then April and I will found a tech company eventually." He's not sure when exactly that will be, but that was sort of the one thing that they had learned about their present while they'd been in the future. Time paradoxes and all. But finding out about O'Neil Tech and some of it's history had been a little unavoidable. "I like aidate." He grinned. After all... HAILI was sort of a girl and therefore not a bro.

Don is sort of torn, Lee wants them to discover on their own, but they have no idea what meditation is really capable of! How can they discover that?! He frowns a moment, but listens to the story, amused. He looks to the spirit Master Splinter. "Really, did you really do that?" It's silent, in his expression.

And he makes his decision.

"I'm all for letting you discover on your own, but... Let me show you why he'd want you to learn more. Come here, feel what I feel." He nodded for Donnie to touch the tree, though it takes him a moment to decide on just where he wants Donnie's hand. There's a sort of 'I know it sounds crazy, just humor me.' expression on his face.

"I'm not really one for lotus position, and I think this will work better, anyway. Clear your mind, and open your senses, and if you can... let me in."

If Donnie does as requested, Don will put his own hand over his counterpart's and just... share how Don sees this space. The physical contact should make it easier for DonnieBoy to let Don in. He will share the warmth and vibrancy and life of the room. And just how present Master Splinter of this dimension still is.How the dojo is absolutely filled with the presence of DonnieBoy's father. Don won't take him far, just show DonnieBoy Don's experience of the dojo. It's basically a taste of what this sort of training can do.

A grin, yeah he'd gotten the message Don was not comfortable around mutagen so was determined to at least make it easier to deal with in small doses.


DonnieBoy looks stunned, " thaaaats sooo cool... well who knows maybe it was going to the future and learning a little that actually prompts the creation?'yep damned confusing time paradoxical events. But it was a possibility the fact there was knowledge of the capability of it coming about actually sets the whole thing in motion. Confusing. But oooh so fun for Donnie to consider, a bit of a chuckle, " I think I will, I'd ask Kirby himself but he is more psychology than other science, not that it's not important and I have found his work and reading incredible. And promising and interesting... but also we are still a little tentative around each other giving I am now dating his daughter.'


He can't see that SpiritSplinter laughs a bit silently, like his tall lean son recalling the session with amused fondness and nodding in answer to Don, yep he really really did. Got completely wasted and proceeded to teach his sons more about the perception of control in a fight. Even the then capable and growing all the more so Lee had not been able to stop him. Though had they worked more together they might have. He waits patiently waiting reaching to touch the wood too.


Donnie is a little dubious but he trusts Don and he does reach out brushing one of those big hands over the smooth brown bark feeling a familiar knot under his fingers, he'd climbed all over this tree as a child and knew all the knots, nooks and grannies, as did any of his brothers, there was also scarring on the tree where their weapons had hit or stabbed or cut into it in the past, but considering this was the dojo impressively it was not literred with the marks, just nicked and knocked and nooked here and there. " Lotus? huh I like that position, a little easier ont he knees than kneeling all the time." but he was used to that too now. And lets his busy heavy always full mind empty, breathing, letting go of conscious though, just.... feeling ...


And his expression turned to some surprise, " Lee feels that everything he is in here?" oooooh now he was indeed feeling that familiar warmth and security and just how much it soaked this room... especially around the tree. Closing his eyes.

"Well... wouldn't be the first time." Another thing he's not likely to elaborate on without a little pressing. Almost getting hit by the TCRI truck himself just before the near miss that had caused him and his brothers to be dropped down the sewers was a bit of a mind trip. "Turns out... it's really best not to think about those things too much..." Yeah, Master Splinter's fake version of April and Casey's journal in the future had definitely left an impression. Even on the turtle who found it most difficult to turn off those sorts of questions.

Don sort of nods at the information about Kirby. While Don finds the relationship reasoning a little strange, he's never met the guy, and Don will do what he can to reserve judgement. Also, apparently Casey's mom put April through quite the set of tests, so maybe this is just something like that?

The fact that Donnie can't see SpiritSplinter is starting to make Don a little crazy! Come ON! Part of him wants to kick his counterpart's tail until he sees! But that would be ineffective.

"And yet, completely impractical for our current purposes." Don added of lotus position. They really needed the tree.

Don shrugs slightly at the comment about this being what Lee feels. "This is what I feel. I don't know how attuned your Lee is versus my own training, but he also has his own memories of this space to draw on. I'm an outsider. It could be stronger, it could be weaker. But that's the general idea, yes. Keep going."

Encouraging his counterpart farther, not really relinquishing his hold, but sort of letting the other turtle explore a little. Really, really hoping that Donnie would somehow manage to see the spirit that is so clear to Don!

That makes DonnieBoy wonder a bit but he decides Don is probably right. Though Donnieboy finds it hard to not ask questions, and knows Don does too so if the guyssays best not to think about those things... then it probably was for the best.


He is focusing even as he feels he should share a bit more about Kirby, " It's mostly Kirby that is tentative, I think he'd rather forget he was a kraang prisoner, mind controlled by the Foot for a time thanks to the kraang, then had to watch the city be invaded by said kraang, be mutated into a slave of theirs... and there was the mutant bat phase... and I failed him... he trusted me to save April when Karai had been mind controlled and went on a rampage to poison us all... and I couldn't do it... I failed - he trusted me with her and I failed... in the end it was Lee - Fa-" he is talking and there is the agony that came with failing Mr. O'Neil and more April... He'd promised never to let her fall and on that time he couldn't stop it.


but he also was sinking into the space and how it felt, less only as a sharing from Don, more his own sense of wow this place feels like the warm snuggles against Splinters fur with his brothers as tots. And he looks up hearing or scenting ...maybe a bit of both - " Father!"


The spirit siiiighed, finally - and he bows to both of them... now moving a little closer to the edge of the shadow provided by the tree. " Donatello and Donnietello. The voice -


DonnieBoy could actually hear it! he gaps... " ho ho hooow?" even as he is moving closer to the shade too.

Also... well... thinking about that too much led to thinking about his own brain in a jar like Stockman, that was then put into that fastidious, but stuffed-shirt Serling. Nope, no thank you.

Don definitely looks concerned as he listens to everything that's happened to Kirby. And well... Don could sympathize with the guy. He had his own hangups... some of which he suspects aren't unlike April's father. And he could understand not wanting his child to be a part of that. At the same time, it was April's choice, not Kirby's. And as Don understood the story, April had been involved long before she met the turtles anyway. Now she just had an extra layer of protection. Even if protection could only go so far.

But he listened patiently and allowed DonnieBoy to talk himself out. Allowed the other turtle to sort of drift deeper into the warmth of this space.

And relieved when DonnieBoy finally notices that his Master Splinter had been there all along.

"Master Splinter." Don bowed to the spirit then smiled at DonnieBoy. "This room, this tree... there's so much time and love put into this space, it's infused with his spirit... and that of the rest of your family. That doesn't go away. It's just a matter of knowing how to access it. Sort of like... learning how to bypass the firewall."

DonnieBoy is stunned, some tears, and stunned, and yet the old habits, he straightens and bows - when Don does, and then hurries over, not sure what to expect, and - oh he can touch him! and hug! and! and! " We... miss - you are here?- this is - I mean !" almost babbling a bit and becoming flustered when he realizes it and making it worse! trying to say everything on his mind at once.


The tall rat hummmmed int hat way he had that stopped the flow of the babbling, " I understand my son, and I have missed you too, this is Donatello Splinterson from another universe I know, and I am always close when yous need me.' he answers each question smiling at the almost as tall and buffer version of his son. So a son all the same to him. " Well met Donatello Splinterson and thank you for encouraging a fellow Donatello to remember. To be as immovable as the mountain." - if he moves into the light his visage is more like a deer, the spirit deer. So he remains in shadow. Eyes on the both of them. " And i heard what you feared, what Leenardo feared, no for now there is no little hybrid turtles in this universe."


DonnieBoy heaves a sigh as Master Splinter hugs him back, though reaches out one cool hand to rest on Don's shoulder to as he speaks. Missing the implications in for now.

Don sort of backs off as DonnieBoy greets his father. He just sort of semi-watches from the sidelines. There's a slight smile at the babbling, and he's glad to have been able to give DonnieBoy sort of a nudge in the right direction. But he definitely doesn't want to interrupt, and so he waits patiently.

He smiled slightly at the thanks. "You're welcome, but I didn't really do anything... It was already here." All Don did was point it out. Of course he would do what he could to help a fellow turtle. And he's sort of fascinated by this whole thing, and the spiritual feeling of this room... it's incredible. His own family had to leave their original lair, but he wonders if they hadn't if it would feel like this. Since that lair, they've never stayed in a home for long.

And Donnie might not have noticed, but Don did! And he knows better than to overlook that sort of opportunity for information. He's been bitten in the shell for assumptions like that before!

"For now?"

A sort of smirk from Master Splinter, " perhaps but it was what is needed." and gently unsaid probably from someone not a Leonardo. Amused, Leenardo had the best intentions but sometimes when one wasn't ready to listen another source can help. " I am always here Donnietello or whereever you all are.So never fear you cannot reach me at any time. though Donatello is right, you needed a nudge in the right way and will need practice." reassuring as his tall lean son clings to him.


DonnieBoy relaxes a bit and grins over at Don - then it pauses and he looks curiously from Don to Splinter at the quesrtion a slightly worried look.


the spirit chuckled silently, " Yes for now, as I am sure some time around little ones has awoken some paternal and or maternal urges among family members.' remaining cryptic about who and which family mostly cause he is guessing but assumes it is a fairly good guess. And his warning here is mostly to make Donatellos awareit might be an up coming thing. And also - " I will not keep yous too much longer here, but it is wonderful to connect again.' a hug drawing in donatello too. He would be lingering here yes, but he knows they have things to do and family to get back to when ready.


DonnieBoy chuckles a bit, huh well April had sain in about five years its not outside the realm that others of his family are thinking sooner - he may have to ad to his knowledge base.Build incubators... already a few projects in mind. a nod, he doesn't want to let go, but yeah they did have things to continue with and get to - " so... I'll be able to see you... again/'


" Of course Donnietello - especially if you take up Leenardo's offer to meditate with him more. Donatello can atest and I am glad he's managed to show you waht having more training in meditation can do. Leenardo is learning on his own now and with my input and can show you. Also Donatello and his brothers are I sense very proficient and can help." very thankful for that and it is in his tone.

Don continues to hang back a bit as DonnieBoy clings to his father's spirit. He smiles slightly, but does not want to interfere.

There's a soft sigh of relief that it's just expected future hybrids that this Master Splinter is talking about, and not other children created and abused in a lab that just haven't been created yet.

He does move into the hug with this other Master Splinter and DonnieBoy, and he is glad he was able to help.

There's a soft chuckle at the comment that Don could attest to the power of meditation. Oh... he sure could! And he does give a nod, affirming that he and his brothers are definitely proficient. And now that they've learned to touch their chi again... Well, who knew what sort of doors that would open up.

"We'd be happy to. Actually, I just loaned Lee a book with some of the lessons we learned a few years back." He commented, mostly to Donnie. "I'm sure he'll let you read it next."

DonnieBoy grins and nods and buries face against the familiar fur and robe and it feels cool, like it is all being felt through a thin cool gel bubble - and the lean guy understands this is the veil. His voice is muffled a bit but he turns his face - it is the last hug, with Don, for now and he is slowly letting go - releasing his dad stepping back slowly. " yeah I think I will, though I would probably finish it quicker than he will. Just, the guy read pretty quick."


" Thank you Donatello, and thank your brothers too if I do not get a chance to do it sometime."He bows his head a little glad to squeeze both of them in a short embrace. " especially your father Splinter for being so kind and warm." though her knew if the roles were reversed he would be too - he is fading away slowly, becoming that deer spirit again to leave them for a bit.


DonnieBoy linger to watch but ready when Don is to continue the tour - though adding with amusement. " think it will be your brothers or mine who makes the next hybrid."

Don allows DonnieBoy and Splinter to determine when the hug ends.

"It's going to blow your mind." Don grinned at DonnieBoy being willing to check out the chi book from Adam.

He then smiles at Master Splinter. "You're welcome, and I'll pass it on."

Once Master Splinter has left, he turns to DonnieBoy, ready to continue the tour. Only to be concerned by the question!

"For my sanity's sake, I sure hope it's yours." Mostly a joke, but... there's some truth to it.

Don is definitely not eager to make more hybrids! And he's pretty sure Erica isn't either.

Lilo and Haley or Mike's seers he claims to have on the other hand... Don has no idea. Aw man, he doesn't want to do the doctor thing...

Karai poked her head around the edge of the dojo, " hey guys want a hot drink at all. Shini is offering coffee, tea, herbal drinks - butterbeer." and she shifts to lean against the doorway she was almost as tall as DonnieBoy and in the smooth light of the dojo comparing to the light from the main room it was easy to pick out that although she looked very human her skin shifted under the light, it had the faint sign of shiny white scaling.

" I am a bibliophile so no doubt I will." Donnieboy laughs in no way denying he read everything that found its way into the lair, fiction, and non-fiction, instruction manuals got precedent of course but yep everything.


He chuckles at Don's words and nods a bit wiping his eyes and was mostly back in control of the urge to weep more. And happy and felt great " Well my mate has declared not for five years, I am sure Mikey has no interest of his own right now so it's down to Raph and Lee." he estimates, amused, hearing Karai's voice and her offer and grinning over at her. " what? - oh sure um a strong black coffee for me - um Don? - Shini will probably conjure it so anything specific you want just sings out." initiating the return to the main room to head to the kitchen to continue the tour. " whadda ya think Karai - if Lee asks you gonna lay us some mutant snake turtle hybrids?" teasingly.


" hmmmmm I want to see the cuties myself first - and torment him with maybes first." she answers. And yep DonnieBoy could see beyond her Shini was conjuring up drink tray for the girls and some snacks for the movie and was ready to do some for them too.

Don is somewhat amused as Donnie tell him that April said not for five years. "That was before she met ours." It's a tease. He actually fully expects that April will stick to her guns about this. She didn't seem quite as turned to mush about the kids as Mona did. "Ygythgba seemed... smitten." Both with Raph and the kids. Don's money is on them. Surely Haley would feel a little... four's enough for now, right? And she technically already has one with Raph if that goes anywhere!

And his real concern is Leo and Lilo... And that's the one that would likely present the most problems! Haley's eggs have already proven quite successful. Erica is a mutant... of some kind. Lilo is completely human. At least to their knowledge.

He sort of frowns at the offer, it's aaalllmost a shuffle. Lee had said their herbal stuff was similar... Donnie would know Don's concern here and he glances to his counterpart. "Um... maybe a mint herbal, please...?" That should be pretty okay, right? Unless your mint is really different from ours!

He smiles at the banter. Though he never would have asked, he had sort of wondered if Karai laid eggs or not. Apparently so.

A nod at Don's shuffle and glance his way, it should be safe - still - light mint Shini please, hah yeah Raph is probably planning to give it a go - whose your main concern over more hybrids.?" DonnieBoy asks then looks a tad worried, for a brief moment, muttering, " oh dang that's right those kiddies are so damn cute it's possible they might sway her." he puzzles on it for a moment then grins and shrugs, " will be happy either way." he blushed a bit as Karai giggles gently and Shini makes her way over a second tray to the one she started before had been conjured and DonnieBoy favourite mugs with sciencey logos on the, like 'save water, get dirty' and the other the a Great Show On Earth with Endless Forms Most Beautiful on it. He can sniff the mint one out and his bitter black coffee and takes them holding Don's out to him. " thanks Shini, Karai may we see?" because well they were making their way around to the lab and it was a fascinating case of the unpredictability of mutations caused by their mutagen.


Karai nods and shifts into Snake for, or Nagini for, with the upper half of her still fairly human shaped if with extra mouths, even her hands! The clothing she wore DonnieBoy knew wasn't really colouring just scales in human form, and now melted away into large sliver grey plated protective scales and she grew twice as long as DonnieBoy was tall.


Large green slitted eyes looked at the two large turtles.


DonnieBoy thanks her with a sound sipping his dark strong coffee with a wag of tail watching his counterpart and Karai, Shini smiling and stroking the scales on Karais shoulder.

There's a soft 'thanks' intended only for DonnieBoy for the light mint assist. He considered the question of more hybrids for a moment.

"Honestly... I don't have a good enough feel for the girls yet to guess.  Though this morning made it pretty clear that Leo is definitely thinking with body parts that aren't his head."

And a slight nod at the kiddoes being damn cute. They are, though Don is maybe a little biased. Glad that DonnieBoy would be happy either way. "I'm not saying go jumping into that though." Actually, Don would suggest waiting as April had originally insisted.

He accepts the drink with a "Thanks." The first sip is tentative, barely there. Tastes pretty familiar. Sort of inbetween his peppermint and wintergreen. "This is very good, thank you, Shinigami." He'll work at it slowly, but is pretty sure it should be fine.

There's a sort of primal instinct that Don feels himself shove aside as Karai shifts into her snake form. It's an old turtle instinct, one that knows he's a potential snack. Don is fairly well practiced at pushing aside that sort of thing though, and it is quickly buried under awe.

"Wow..." He doesn't touch, but he does observe! Moving around her. "And you have control over it?" Definitely curious, and awe in his tone along with... well it sort of hits a nerve. The 'it' actually refers to both the snake itself and the form of her mutation. He is definitely awed that she's actually in control of the change and she still feels the same. So seems in control of her faculties. "That's incredible."

There is a subtle but warm grin at his counterpart around the rim of his coffee-filled cup, the guy was most welcome. And well there is perhaps a tad bit of amused and teasing cheek at his soft, " well there is a head below the belt... thought its thinking can be quiet distracting and sometimes yeah not the best for us." but it's soft so it bypasses the ladies with them. Not that he didn't know if he said it loud enough the two would just join in teasing and some possibly bawdy jokes. But well ya know another time -


He laughs low but it comes with a wide grin, " I hope to learn a bit about how it would all go down before jumping in so hoping April keeps to not for five years at least, after all, I want to be able to give her some of the best medical care I can -" and if it came to it there was always Lee's healing hands. But he is determined not to fail like that again.


By now he had become used to ignore the urge to pull into his shell around Karai int his form, however, it had been slow going at the start even when they had been trying to hunt her out and bring her home.


Shinigami grins, " your welcome Don, you should feel the scales..."Encouraging and only as it seemed Karai was comfortable with the idea. Like normal snakes, like soft leather only hers warm not cool.


The is a soft hiss and nod at Don's question and as he moves around her she stretches out her long-form so he could see the flat with and silvery grey color and size, opening all her mouths when he passes the left hands, around the back and the other side answering his question. " Not at first, mostly ran on instincts and barely managed to keep hunting to pets and strays not humans and the transformations back and forth were random." she smiles at him, " and not for a long time, it took possession by a brain worm, being Shredders puppet, Healing hands twice and Shinigami to help me be less, beast and more me." she is not sure what prompted the question but senses there was weight behind it and answers very honestly.


DonnieBoy does know though and his bump against Don when he is close enough is light and not overly consoling just a promise they were here. Just like his brothers. He is also showing don to show him int he kitchen ICK and then when they get to the lab Timothy, and the other mutants he knew of but those only in picture form.

"Touché. But if that was the only thing taking over his faculties, it would at least be predictable." Partially muttered behind his cup. Yeah, Leo's gorge fest this morning was bizarre.

There's a baaaarely there grunt at the medical care comment. Don Does. Not. Want. to try and figure out all of that. Though he's pretty sure he's going to have to at this point, and will quietly be doing so. But he's NOT A DOCTOR!

Except he sort of is... for lack of any other options.

And of course it'd be Leo with the human that he's most worried about at the moment. Not the dragon that lays eggs and oh, he has a ton if data about that, or the magic people who could maybe find help elsewhere, and give Don at least half a chance to learn from them. Nooooo! HAS to be Leo.

Figures.

When the offer to touch Karai's scales comes up, he's a little torn. That's a lot of snake heads, and a pretty strong instinct he's already pushing aside. But at the same time, he is curious. And curious will override a lot.

And as she tells her story, he does move forward and gently touches the scales on her shoulder. The warmth of them is strange, but incredible. There's a slight nod, maybe a little too understanding about the hunting comment. And he steps back again once his curiosity about the scales is satisfied.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that... but I'm glad you had the support you needed."

He doesn't pry further, nor does he offer any reason for the question.

Don appreciates the bump from his counterpart, though he shows little reaction to it.

"Thank you, Karai." Wow, those words sound strange coming out if his mouth, even though their own Karai is sort of an ally now. "It was nice to meet both of you." because it seemed that they had a movie to watch, and DonnieBoy was trying to drag him away to see more.

" perhaps, though wild turtles here can get a little... uh... odd in behaviors... oddest thing to happen here is Lee confusing the erectile drugs I found and planned to break down for pain relievers and having to perform surgery and almost getting sprayed in the face. Sometimes being the family's only choice for a doctor is a nightmare." though DonnieBoy did enjoy it most fo the time. Sometimes like with April's dad and that time ago he hated it and felt so guilty still. But he was rather excited about studying gynecology.


He mmmmms a little watching the girls, watching Don. [color=#9932CC]" Good thing too the retro mutagen doesn't work on Karai. There are some mutations it won't reverse, hers and Mutagen Man, uh Timothy.


Karai nods, she is a kunoichi and is picking up... something from Don again, she puts a snake hand on his shoulder as he and DonnieBoy are looking like they might be heading away, " thank you and yessss it was wonderful to have a supporting family and loving friends, still is when at times it is still hard to control... Shini and Lee had had to save each other from being reticulated more than once." admitting it was mostly under control but never fully. And that whilst of course she didn't know Don's story - sensing there was one if he wanted to tell her some time it was fine - also she is glad he had a family, friends too, all willing to have been of help she mostly guessed not sure if she was getting signals right but guessed. A support system too.


And DonnieBoy thanks the young women - and moving off towards the kitchen next to show the space off and his own coffee was empty so he placed the cup in the sink upside down - " Of course there was always the fear Lee would mutate the girls, that Raph would mutate Mona and Mikey Casey or Renet but as yet I haven't seen big changes, keeping eyes out though. And in here is ICK, Mikey's cat." touching the little window of the freezer lightly, the cat made of icecream placed her paw on the glass portion too and meowed - " she is another retro mutagen wont revert." moving aside so Don could get a look.

While Don is amused by the stories, he is definitely not a fan of being family doctor. And he sort of hides his reaction behind another sip of the mint tea he is definitely nursing. Only occasional small sips. It tastes nice, but it's definitely slightly different than what he's used to. He's pretty sure it's fine, but not interested in finding out the hard way that it's not.

"You... definitely embrace team medic more than I do..."

The genetics though... and the mutations that do and don't reverse... that he is curious about.

"Any idea why some don't respond?" And speaking of genetics, "Oh, Lilo's uncle is evidently some sort of alien geneticist. We were going to try to contact him at some point, if you're interested. And it wouldn't hurt to pick LH's brain too. He... did a lot on my world, and might have some insight for stubborn ones that want to change back."

He sort of frowns at Karai having trouble controlling the beast at times. It's not really angry, nor exactly sorry for her. Maybe frustrated, Slightly sad, but it's a familiar feeling. Thankfully that had not been a trait Don had retained.

"Leatherhead might have some ideas for that too... If you're interested in meeting him." LH was almost always cool around the turtles, though he does remember DonnieBoy being concerned about face grabbing. But LH had definitely dealt with his own struggles and controlling a beast within him.

...that was Bishop's fault too.

He does follow to the kitchen and oh, yeah, mutating the girls. Because why not. It sort of made sense, and at the sane time... really?!  Whelp... something else to watch out for...

ICK is sort of both appalling and adorable. There is staring, even though he had heard the story and seen the picture. Still. Yeah, this is why no mutagen in the lair... He put a hand on the glass, "Hello to you too."

DonnieBoy is off to the side a bit and nods, " I do, I find our mutation absolutely fascinating, and to be honest it's usually when my brothers and father were sick or injured and down I can get them to consent and cooperate more willingly into being a study as well as the patient. Other times their just too impatient, figidity or perfectionist to let me learn more about us. Like without my dorky big brother taking that pill and having to have me treat his .... problem... I would not have coped a face full of sample perfect semen and know that us we have the potential for mutating our sexual partners, I am not sure to what extent and how but very minute amounts of the mutagen of course by then it is ours not an original mutagen in the individual sperm, I just don't know yet how it will affect partners. So far for Mona - Nothing so far but it could be a gradual change. I can only really suggest the usual measures for safety."


ICK Meows curiously and her liquid black eyes focus on Don her paw touches the icy window. " Can I removed you for a moment from there ICK?" he asks when there are a nod and meow - Donnie opens the freezers and draws her bowl out so Don could see her, an actual living heap of Ice Cream, he points to her colors, " I suspect for ICK specifically her inability to be turned back is because she was mutated from a reject batch of retro mutagen and a dollop of mixed vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and caramel ice cream, and she is lickable and tastes just like ice cream, which Mikey does lick her and so far suffers no side effects, but I am not sure if that's just his ability to consume everything or that because it is a retro mutagen base its unable to continue and take traits of one mutant into another as the original source..." oh he had a story to show Don about that.

Don half snorts into his drink at DonnieBoy's story, and Lee's predicament. His response is quiet, and to the point, soft tone aaaalllmost conflicting with the actual words.

"Sure you could. Just wash the towel afterwards." And, well... it wouldn't be Lee's sample obviously, but it would be perfectly serviceable for determining how much mutagen might be passed along. And yes, the guy who has resisted similar discussion at every turn did just say that.

But most of Don's genetic work has either been on Outbreak mutants or himself. And during Bishop's outbreak, he'd just asked for blood samples and given what was going on didn't encounter much resistance.

Probably at least in part because Leo had been convinced, and encouraged it.

Though he hasn't actually tested semen. It hadn't really come up. Though maybe he should now that that sort of activity has presented itself...

And at this point, he wouldn't make assumptions about his brothers' genetics or mutagen based on his own...

The appalling, but adorable assessment regarding the cat remains unchanged. She is pretty fascinating though, and definitely seems more "human" than a normal cat. Interesting.

And he makes a face at the lickable thing and that Mikey does so!

"I want to be surprised by that... I really do, but somehow I'm not..."

He is tempted to touch the kitty, but is refraining. As DonnieBoy finishes rambling, Don is giving him a sort of strange expression.

"Why do I feel like there is a story there?" Slight smile, he's curious!

A outright laugh and Donnieboy waves his hand, " truuuuue and been there, done that I wanted a bigeger database than my own samples." hinting that yep his own sample was already logged. Of course it was. Plenty of that since becoming an teenaged mutant ninja turtle and facing mating seasons without a female to go seek out. And then there was April. So yep plenty of his own samples. " Getting big brothers to submit a sample has not been easy, Mikey I'm sure comes as no shock was quiet willing - Lee and Raph not so much. Lee not so shy now - Raph still a bit." He supposed it was easier to chat about these things when it was not just about bawdy jokes and lock room talk, it was fascinating medical stuff to DonnieBoy.


" yeah Mikey is a bit weird in that way - I'll show you her genetic make up in the lab thats our next stop." he grins and thanks ICK rubbing her between the ears and offering Don a chance to - she purrs and smiles and if Don does she rubs against the touch just like a normal cat but seems to say thanks in her meows when being put back in the freezer. He licks his own finger - yep yummy and waits for Don patiently before he will lead out of this small kitchen and off to the lab sliding the heavy door open.

Context is key. And if you approach it from a medical standpoint, even the not-a-doctor medic will join in. At least a little. Don might not find it fascinating exactly, but it is definitely something they should know.

Don has a couple ideas about how to get his big brothers to submit samples. And he's not above getting the girls in on it. It is for their protection after all. Though his brothers probably know that he doesn't want to analyze their samples any more than they want to give them. So he has that going for him.

He does rub ICK's ears, but he does not lick his fingers. Instead opting to rinse them off in the sink.

"Sounds good."

Knowing that they're heading to the lab, Don sets down the last bit of his tea next to the sink. If it's there when they get back, cool. He'll finish it then. If not that's okay too. But he's not taking a drink anywhere near a lab that he knows has mutagen samples in it. And they already have one food mutated pet in this lair.

DonnieBoy smiles he places the cup in the microwave to help keep warm and safe from tipping out for the time being and leads on after a wave to the little cat in her home. " Timothy is housed in my lab - he's a third mutant I have regular access to that doesn't respond to current retro mutagen I am hoping the doragonkame mutagens will make.... something stronger or better about the retro mutagen and I get to turn him back. And then I just got to figure out a way to defrost him safely. He's like seriously cryogenically frozen." Donnie lead into his lab. At first glance, it does not look like much, a large room with a small circular built-in pool, and solar lamps dedicated to their algae farm. And benches one housing his ramshackle computer and shelf of trophies of the major villains they had a face.

The open end of the lab was a roller door leading out to the vehicles, in the empty subway behind them was the heaps DonnieBoy collected for materials, and yes lots of shiny kraang tech there!


He shows Don over to the back rooms, one whose door was frosty and once opened was a smallish cold room with Timothy, Pulveriser., standing at one end, the temperatures in here at least sub-Antarctica.


The other door less cold. Just a sterile cool, one wall he had a tree of sorts depicting the accumulated mutagens he was talking about, Mikey's artwork in the pictures, April's MotherBeast as she was dubbed here unleashing mutagen at the base of the 'tree' and on branch going to mutant frogs.

But a branch off in the trunk starts off with a very sick Lee and his vomit, leading along a longer branch to The Creep and from him SpeedDemon and onto the Chimera and stopping there as far as they knew. On this wall, Mikey had added BigFoot, The Finger, The dreambeavers, and stuck the journal image April had drawn of Lee in the bathtub in the dense cold winter that first farmhouse trip and them all crowded there watching and waiting for him to wake. Mikey had added a picture of Lee's 'coma' life as he described what they looked like,  a giant Chompy only a child though in his years, and a skinny hippish Mikey riding him, ICK with a minigun, a thick powerful-looking old Raph, and sleek DonnieBoyMetalhead2.0, Mira the meerkat and... MaximusKong.

Also, a dedicated spot of the farmhouse at dawn from the prospect of Splinters grave out there. DonnieBoy touches that briefly and that green walking stick.

Other walls had shelves of his growing odd collection of binders on mutants. Most had their names if they had one. The FearFungus, ICK, Justin, Pigeon Pete, Karai, and April among them, DonnieBoy his brothers and father had their own. And Even Shini, Mona, and Chompy had one.

This was his medical room now, a repurposed dental surgery chair and shelves where he was housing tools of the trade as he found and or made them.

He gestures to the storeroom where Timothy is. " I hid the mutagen in there with him but won't get them out unless needed we can just go over the data on the laptop." casually so Don doesn't have to worry about contact with the actual stuff if not comfortable and inviting him to look around. And yes handle stuff if he wants to.

Don is very much a kid in the candy store as DonnieBoy shows him around his lab. While many might not recognize the difference, his fellow Donatello can probably tell that Don is far more interested in things like HOW the cryogenic chamber works than he is in why it was necessitated.

He's curious about the mutations, and why they may or may not respond to certain retromutagens, but it's a much shallower curiosity than how DonnieBoy's equipment works. The Kraang tech also garners much attention.

He is decidedly uncomfortable when shown the Pulverizer, despite that he is clearly fascinated by the cryogenic chamber. It might appear to be part of the mutagen hesitance, but if DonnieBoy is really watching, it goes deeper than that. Don doesn't say anything about it, but there's something about the Pulverizer himself that is pinging Don's radar and putting him on edge.

When they get to the artwork, Don is definitely paying attention to it. Taking in the various connections and incidents it depicted. He's not quite touching it as he nearly traces some of the lines. Paying attention to the similarities and differences between the individual mutations.

He is taking his time here. There's a lot of information, and he's absorbing as much of it as he can. " the cryo chamber is very unusual, requires my space suite to navigate the freezing in there for extended periods of time and is actually powered by Timothy himself I don't know if this just a reaction between his gelatinous form and mutagen he had swallowed or the tainted retro mutagen I made rather by mistake that caused this deep freeze state. I take samples from him regul3 to try and pin down a source but it's probably a mix of all those thing from what I can tell. And my brothers don't like to be in here too old and around him so anything I need to stash away from them goes in there, they know it. " he gestures when Don's eyes liteupover the kraang tech.

A sad gland back at Timothy - not sure if it was the site of a monstrous fate that befell him that made Don uneasy but he speaks softly. I won't give up trying to help Tim. I... Am responsible for him being like this Dad said I'd I tried to train him I am responsible for what happened. And he wasn't a bad guy. Over enthusiastic, a little weird and fan boyish and sure with his mutation and mutagens addiction he did go a little berserk on us... but... A nice kid really. I have made contact with his mother. I... One day maybe I will bring her down and show her. Try to explain. And maybe she will speak to him to. I talk to him all the time. I don't detect brain activity from the tub but I do anyway just encase. " he genuinely wanted to help this poor guy stuck in time.



He watches Don inspect the art work, a bit of a chuckle, " I let Mikey have full freedom in here with his paints keeps him from making more accidental mutants and or handling everything he shouldn't and quiet for hours to days to weeks on end he is rather gifted and well it's a way to document some things. And make some connections like the retromutagen might be the reason these mutants dont respond to retro mutagens but not sure yet. "


He is patient and let Don explore and come back to him when ready the portal was open to a blank wall in the lab and showed the hall of portals in dimension x. When Don comes over he clicks the desktop files open to his studies so far on the mutagens the pure kraang mutagens and retromutagen and the super retromutagen and the the boys shiny silvery mutagen. All in pictures he could click to access the separate files. The pictures for a visual comparison. The variant green, purple of the pure kraang worm mutagen, the sparkle blue of the retromutagen, the bright thin clear orange of the super retromutagen and clear silvery Doragonkame mutagen. He shifts offering Don his seat and the ability to click and peruse at his leisure.


" have only done the basic comparisons so far, color consistency and apparent potency the boys... and submitted mutated Kirby cells to it for a first look of how it would work... And it did. Initially cleared the cells back to their original state even faster than the super mutagen.... but..."


DonnieBoy has learned to vid record every one of his experiments in the hopes that should something go wrong Dr. Rockwell or Mikey might be able to fix it. Or DonnieBoy himself in MetalHead2.0.





He is decidedly uncomfortable when shown the Pulverizer, despite that he is clearly fascinated by the cryogenic chamber. It might appear to be part of the mutagen hesitance, but if DonnieBoy is really watching, it goes deeper than that. Don doesn't say anything about it, but there's something about the Pulverizer himself that is pinging Don's radar and putting him on edge.

When they get to the artwork, Don is definitely paying attention to it. Taking in the various connections and incidents it depicted. He's not quite touching it as he nearly traces some of the lines. Paying attention to the similarities and differences between the individual mutations.

He is taking his time here. There's a lot of information, and he's absorbing as much of it as he can. Don is definitely listening as DonnieBoy explains the cryochamber and the unfortunate mutation of Timothy. And the even more unfortunate events that have rendered him immune to the retromutagen.

"He's there." Don supplied softly when DonnieBoy said he couldn't read any brain activity. Don's sure though. Mutagen addiction... Explains some of what Don was picking up off the frozen blob. Actually, that explains a lot of what Don had been getting off of him. There was also a lot of anger, hurt and betrayal despite what Don is sure was Donnie's best efforts. Don doesn't say anything else until they're out of the chamber though, and the door is sealed. Because even though it does need to be said, he doesn't want to say it where the blob could hear him. Because, as stated, Timothy was there. Sort of...

"A series of events, each causing new permanent changes. It's a lot harder to return to a previous state." Don has stolen research records from the humans who were affected by the outbreak virus. Not the original medical records of course, but the ones flagged for research that have had things like names and identifying information removed. He has also dealt with some of the animals they had recovered before his own infection had made itself obvious.

None of them had shown the sorts of instabilities his own genetic code now contained. It had worked on them, just as it was supposed to! Leatherhead really was amazing. But on top of his own already mutated DNA? Well... that's harder.

He sighs. He does have at least some idea of what they're up against. It would be like if Leatherhead had been trying to return Don to a regular turtle. It's sort of morbid to think about, but his brothers would likely survive the process, but even if their return was perfect, Don probably wouldn't survive. He's now too far removed from his original mutation to go back any farther.

"And backing up two or more steps is even harder. If your first step isn't perfect, the second will be even farther off..." He hasn't said it's impossible, and he's not saying to give up. Only giving his honest assessment of the situation as he sees it based on his understanding of the situation and what he's seen from the Outbreak.

Don smiles at the explanation of the artwork. And smiles at some of the connections. "It sounds reasonable. Different initial variables would give different results. Since they were initially created by a retromutagen, that's a completely different starting point." Actually... crazy thought. He wants to find out a little more before presenting something like that.

When Donnie starts explaining what he's found about the kids' mutagen, Don does accept the seat at the computer when it was offered. He clicks through the files, and skims them quickly. He's not getting all of it, but he's getting a lot, and at the moment, he's not reading for full understanding. Just getting the gist of what's been discovered. He moves through the files quickly.

"But...?" He pulls up the file on the kids so he can see what it says as Donnie explains it.

DonnieBoy looked worried, " like the way dad is still in the dojo?... should...should I try... meditating and talking to Timothy sometime in that way? I... want to try reaching him, - I tried everything I could to stop him mutating himself and feel so bad that this state is what he is locked in until I can safely thaw him ou - and I'd like to at least hear him. Even if he hates me for how things turned out when he went after April." It was a sad mutation for Pulverizer, it was his own doing of course but the involvement of them didn't help and DonnieBoy had been too young at the time to truly consider the guy's mental state in that tube.


Either way, he'd love to be able to talk to Timothy and try to bring back that enthusiastic over-eager naive youthful guy that had been the Timothy he knew premutation.


" No kidding, I hope... I hope this alien geneticist you mentioned might have brighter ideas and maybe a whole new view that will help. Maybe he will know the way to restore the original DNA source." Hopefully, DonnieBoy was gonna hit walls everywhere in this pursuit. Nod - yep he gestures at the folders, " their helpful for factual information its true - and Shinigami even suggested a magical solution which I don't want to reach for until I have absolutely exhausted all possible science ones. She thinks she might be able to use the magical art and discipline of potions to construct a restorative draft that might be able to work with the retro mutagen and bring back Timothy, ICK is content with her lot and Karai likes herself now - but Timothy... oh right the boys - well it restored Kirby's mutated cells but then rapidly turned them into what I assume is something dragonish." he points at the notes he took and the video clip he put thereof the experiment it would show the microscopic view of the mutated red blood cells and that DonnieBoys voice indicating when he added the drop of Doragonkame mutagen to the mix - talking through as the cells rapidly return to their original form, then take on a different rigiding, different shaping and spreading rapidly.

Don pursed his lips a little at the questioning. They were good questions, but he's just not sure how to answer them, and he takes his time to do so.

"It's different, and... I think I should say that... something is there. But whether it's the Timothy you knew or not." Don sighs and considers the question of whether or not DonnieBoy should meditate to contact him. He shakes his head slowly. He hates to say this, he really does, but...

"I wouldn't." His shoulders sag as he admits that. Don's pretty experienced, especially compared to DonnieBoy. He feels these things without even trying anymore. "And to be honest... I'm not even going to let you feel him through me." Don shook his head and looked back at the chamber. "A contact like that... it's not a one way street. It involves a certain level of trust. I trust you, which is why I let you in, but right now, in the state he's in...? It's not a good idea. If you're skilled and powerful enough, it's possible to break a contact that goes sideways, but if the other entity is stronger than you are..." Don sighed again. "I think your best course of action is to keep looking for a cure. We'll call Jumba tomorrow, maybe he'll have some idea. And if you give me the DNA information you have on file, I'll take a look and get a copy to Leatherhead. He's just... not himself right now, Donnie. I'm sorry."

Don watched as the video played. Now that it's in a video, and the form of data, Don is very curious about this mutagen. He's curious about the boys cells, and... he's going to have to get one of those teeth from Raph. He rubs the space between his eyes then leans back in the chair a bit.

"That's bizarre. And how fast it acts is... well, frankly it's terrifying. Especially since it looks like we would potentially be trading one problem for another. I know they bleed red so this has to be refined in some way."

DonnieBoy does look very sad. He may not be directly the cause of Timothy's mutation, and or the sort of psychosis that followed and Don is right if he tried making contact would it be the oblivious eager doofus fan boy or the angry hurt monterous mutagenman?   "I trust you too Don, if you say it's probably not wise to try I won't, but I will still try talking to whatever it is that lingers all the time. Maybe... Maybe even get you back here some time to pick up on what it feels if I bring. It's mother down her to talk to him. Maybe I still am on the fence about that, on one hand she gets answers and knows where he is and that he is... Relatively safe. But maybe ut will hurt them both more? " he just didn't know. But he trusted Don's assessment. " and thanks yeah I think I would enjoy a conversation with this Kimba and bouncing ideas off you and him about this. "


He nods and replays the vid and pauses as the heal reverted cell then becomes the dragonish one. " it's fascinating even our perfectly normal mutated cells change but they don't revert back to turtle and change they just change. Ick changes and oddly even changes Karais pretty messed up cells." he shows Don the other sort clips of introducing the boys refined mutagen to microscopic samples.

Don doesn't really know what to say about bringing Timothy's mother down here. He knows what his own Leo would think of bringing a human into the lair like that. And that would be if she already knew what they were and was okay with that! There's a lot of ways that could go wrong, but there's a lot of ways it could go right too.

"I don't know his mother well enough to say." Don admitted. Sure, some people might find some sort of hope from something like that, or they might find despair. And his previous statement stands. "There's a lot of new possibilities right--" Don sort of cut himself off as another, albeit remote, possibility crossed his mind. He leaves the decision of whether to contact Timothy's mother to DonnieBoy. It's his project. Though Don would hope for a little patience.

Though... he's sort of getting the impression that... that's not DonnieBoy's strong suit.

He frowns at the supermutagen in the video. "Our mutagen came from our Utroms though, and they only knew of your Kraang from a single research video. Speaking of... I need to contact Mortu... But I digress. Our mutagen isn't like yours, and-- Alright, fine. Do you have another slide?" Though Don's cells are a bit of a mess themselves, none of his brothers are here to test theirs.

And as much as he doesn't like being around actual mutagen... he's curious.

DonieBoy listens and he smiles, noting the sometimes cuts off and or trails away and maybe stopping of sentences. " Don I trust you if you have advice or a warning or perhaps something I haven't tried yet, like this Jumba fellow let me know I won't be upset or cross about it... maybe indignant.' a bit of a grin at that -


He knows he has some issues with patience and he would admit he is not really working on getting better at it. Though he has learned to relax a bit around April and it has led to her opening up more, that kiss in the song. Becoming closer finally. And a couple at last! Maybe this is another situation he has to wait it out and be willing to be disappointed and take setbacks time and again before he got anywhere on Timothy's behalf.


" and? -" its a gentle prod of an and, the DonnieBoy reaching under his large bench computer desk for the draws there and selecting one of the little slides that he had cleaned and decontaminated out of a sealed lined boxed, also in the draw was another box of clean but not yet decontaminated and ready for use recycled slides. He brings out the clean box offering it to Don. " our mutagen in its natural use is Kraathatrogon milk, they are a hermaphroditic giant worm, breed like worms can either self fertilize or sexually with another and can either be the female or male, and both grow bumps in the presence of young and produce the mutagen. I have not figured out yet hooooow this 'milk' is important for the infants' growth but I guess it is as they start out no bigger than pugs but can become longer than a city double-length bus. And creat seismic impacts with their weight here on earth. Their omnivorous and usually pretty docile in nature, like a giant worm cow, can be dangerous but not usually the dimension x utroms used them as fuel sources before Kraang learned of the mutagenic properties...Mortu?" He is chatting but it's soft and ready to stop and listen to Don if he continues with his and -


Fetching from the folders one with Kraathatrogon written on the spine and on the front cover a hand drawing by Mikey and scribbles around the outside by DonnieBoy himself about some of the physical attributes of the worms. Inside Don had added the works of Jack J. Kurtzman the detective and some writtings and pictures and sealed original samples DonnieBoy has of right from the teat milk mutagen, worm skin, and digestive juices from Casey's clothes. These samples were in the advent the data on his computer was destroyed or corrupted he could start again. And merely scan most of the written and photos in this folder back up but he brings it over for Don to look at. " I am a hoarder." and if he didn't also have these OCD clean compulsions his hoarding would be a problem, as it was he just couldn't go away from anything without collecting information.

Don takes a moment to explain the first time he cut himself off. It really hadn't been for any reason other than to focus on the thought that had crossed his mind.

"Just... it was a long time ago, but we had some friends that the Foot had mutated into various creatures designed to live underground. There was an ancient, underground Y'lyntian city powered by a Crystal Moon. The 'Sole Survivor' of the Y'lyntian race used a pod to infuse them with 'regenerative energy' that did turn them human again. Trick was... they had to stay within the light of the Crystal Moon. I was able to permanently cure them by sonicating a piece of that crystal, which caused it to liquefy. Problem is... most of the underground crystals were used up either in their search for a cure or in mine. But maaaybe in some of the tunnels... there might be one or two left. It'd be a long shot even if I knew where some crystals were off the top of my head, but... it might be worth looking into."

It's a long shot, a really long shot, but if DonnieBoy thinks it's worth pursuing, Don will see if he can find any more of those crystals they had found in that second lair. And without the Crystal moon to power the pods, it may not even assist with anything anyway.

Don accepted the slide. "Why don't you get out a little of that silver mutagen. Though I wish I had a sample from one of my brothers, mine is... sort of tainted. Our mutagen is different than yours.  It's definitely not milk... A small group of Utroms was transporting a prisoner when he escaped and forced them to crash on Earth a millennia ago. Mr. Mortu was sort of the leader of their group. They waited on Earth until our technology caught up and they were able to create a transmat device to go home. Our mutagen was a byproduct of that their techno organic matrix. They went home several years ago now, but I'm still in contact with them."

He does take a moment to look through the book offered, and that's... totally disgusting and kind of cool...

Don chuckled at the hoarder comment.

"Nah, just an archivist and master upcycler. It's an entirely different thing." That sounded much better!

It is DonnieBoy's turn to look a little uneasy and for a moment as he is processing all of that really cool explanation he is reminded another crystal and another time... But it is too interesting a theory and a new angle - to just let his old trauma to make him shoot it down.


He hmmmms a bit and decides, one moment." moving to retrieve from Timothy's cryo room the samples. He was meticulous with this, hard-learned experience. ICK and Mikey's ShellAcne among them. He gets his space gear out and slips it all on because as he told Don it's dangerous going into the secured cold room without these - especially for reptiles. Heading in and to the lockable filing cabinet - having to wrench a bit against the freeze to pull the draw out and select one of the boy's mutagen samples, this time Randals last time he had a sliver of Liams, after ascertaining with initial samples all of their mutagen reacted the same. And he didn't want to overuse a single sample. He returns to Don, careful to place the frozen sample in a test tube holder before moving to April's folder and retrieving it bringing it over to show Don the only crystal he'd had any interactions with.


And listening to Don explain where their mutagen came from was intriguing, " that is really cool, think I could ask for a original sample? and if you guys consent samples of your mutagen too? might all be good for comparison and the crystals could be an avenue to look at even if it is worrying to think about - and I think I have a crystal that might be able to repower any we find - though I am a little afraid to use it."


He opens April's folder, the hardcover like the giant space worms had Mikey and DonnieBoy art, half of April normal the other side more of energy only being with the glowy eyes. He lifts the notes and original samples of her blood and hair and even some April 'derp' goop from her clones, going to the back where the crystal was. It didn't look like much but the fact it was sealed in a hard plastic DVD case with some magnetic strip liners and the locking mechanism would surely hint it had significance, he doesn't open it. Just lets Don look and explore - the whole folder or look in at the alien crystal. " During our into the past by six months space mission to retrieve pieces of a black hole generator that would be used to destroy Earth. We were picked up just in time by an android by the name of Professor Zayton Honeycutt who is the inspiration behind MetalHead two-point o... Our first attempt to retrieve the first piece took us to the Aeon world and learned the black hole generator had corrupted the aliens who were charged with its security. Almost corrupted us all too we fought with each other the entire way. And in the end, though we did manage to restore the Aeons Soul Star and heal them, heal their world we lost the generator piece to the triceratons we were racing for it. This is small fragment of the Soul Star -" he points at the broken crystal shards in the box. " that was given to my April by the Aeons for saving their planet, she was the one who figured out how. This crystal, and possibly the entire soul star, probably why it is called such was possessed by the spirit of an ancient Aeon named Za-Naron, who was causing her to enhance her psychic powers and slowly corrupting April. In the end we almost lost April to her completely - and she... she... - in the fight um... Za-Naro riped my molecules apart and scattered them all over NewYork. When April fought back and won she used the power still in these shards to pull me back together..." shuuuuudder.... it had been agony to be ripped apart. And hurt just as much to be pulled back together. DonnieBoy had never stopped to consider the psychological trauma of that, for him or April, he'd ignored it and delved into their latest battle and enemy and still preferred to pretend it never happened. And April took that cue from him and didn't go there either.



A grin at Don's kind reassessment of his hoarding, " thanks... I mean... thanks... I never thought of it like that really." and it was nice to do so, grinning and offering Don the spar space suit. " wanna suit up before we get a bit of the sample out and put it on a slide?"

Don pursed his lips when DonnieBoy asked for a mutagen sample. "I don't actually have any of our mutagen. I can check with Leatherhead. He might." Actually, Leatherhead probably did. He had been much closer with the Utrom than Don and his brothers had, and their interactions with the Utrom had actually been pretty minimal. He had never really had much of a sample of their mutagen.

What had been in the container had been washed away long before he had been able to express any sort of interest in it, and they had never gotten more from the Utroms themselves. Never mind that Don isn't particularly keen on keeping mutagen around anyway.

"I can get sample from my brothers though, and I might have a little of some of my old samples left somewhere." He's pretty sure he does, but he's not promising anything on that front until he knows for sure.

Don listens patiently to DonnieBoy's story about the crystal, and well... that explains why he doesn't really want to even touch April's book, it's practically vibrating. He does touch the book though, and does a quick read of the section on the crystal. And Don knows that look on his counterpart's face. He knows it all too well. He respects it though, and doesn't pry. He was definitely ready for it to go when it's put away though!

There's a soft chuckle at DonnieBoy's grin at Don's differing definition of the hoarding. Don too has the same tendency to keep things around, as the room that he spent several hours emptying a couple days ago would show! He definitely has a personal interest in the claim, and likes his terminology much better!

"Yyyyup. Yes please." Yes, he would like to suit up before the mutagen is opened, thanks. He's curious, not foolhardy! And even with the suit on, he's likely to keep his distance.

DonnieBoy nods and loosens the space gear up, " I always use the space suits now, they generate personal protective fields and lightweight and also warm to withstand Tim's room when in there, just put them on loose like this and they'll adjust automatically, the staff is pretty cool too.' this he gives to Don to inspect and he's doing it again, forcing away the emotions and that time and is glad to tuck April's folder away, not without touching the picture on the front cover though, because he was head over heels for the young woman, always had been since the very first topside escapade. And once it is away with the worm folder, of course, it is all in alphabetical order.


" survived the ice moon and Chompy's mother's home planet's heat in these suits not much gets through them." gesturing to the collection of flat screens he had, one was clearly monitoring a satellite he had no legal grounds to be hacked into, and it was tracking the giant space turtle. She was Godzilla huge and had a wide arc around the earth - sometimes she left the MilkyWay entirely for a time but always came back whilst her son was in the care of Raph and Mona.


He wants to be sure Don to make sure he is comfortable in the suit before they begin, the sample won't defrost for a long time itself but when they were ready he will scrape some off the top and it will liquefy pretty quick and as it is heavier than what will be ice once melted he'll use the pipettes to suck away the moisture so they can see the dragon mutant turtle mutant under the scope on the slide.

"Sounds reasonable." Don said of using the suit, and they had used them back in Don's garage last time, he does remember, but doesn't really comment on that. He does accept the staff once he has the suit on though, and takes a moment to check it out. He's had a couple of super powered staffs over the years, and this one is definitely cool.

Don watches his counterpart put the April folder away.  It's not until his DonnieBoy is back with the mutagen sample that Don actually says anything regarding the April folder. And even then, he waits until the mutagen is safely tucked in a test tube holder, and not actually in the other turtle's hands.

"You... don't talk about that, do you." It's a statement of recognition. Not accusatory, Don has several incidents in his past that he doesn't talk about, and some that even his brothers aren't fully aware of.

He even has one... one that he's pretty sure even his father doesn't really know about. Actually... DonnieBoy probably knows more about it than anyone else. To some extent, Don has even kept Leatherhead in the dark about that particular secret of his. Though... that's all probably about to come back and bite him in the shell now that there's at least a small possibility of someone being able to help.

Recalling he had shown Don the suits previously he grins sheepishly, " sorry I have a habit of being overly cautious these days, and repeating myself." again hard-learned lessons. ICK. Slash.


And he'd just managed to scrape some of the mutagen out of the little vial, New sticks on it identified which boy it belonged to more than the faded usual tagging, it had a red dragon sticker and red turtle and plenty of little alphabet R's all over it. So when he tucks it back into the holder and it smearing the new fresh scraping onto the slid and carefully waiting for the sample to melt a lot faster now free of the rest and encouraging Don to handle the pipette and suck away the excess moisture he is glad his hands were mostly empty - sort of on his computer as he was flicking it to the mode that allowed them to see into the microscope together on the screen, and so Don could get that water off the slide - quite distinct from the heavier thicker silvery mutagen.


Or he might have dropped something...


And nods, " not really... I want to, I know I should, especially after talking to you... but I don't know how - and I don't think April does either, I know she feels guilty about it still sometimes she wakes and her first action it to feel me with her powers and her hands to make sure I am all there. both awesome some mornings cause it means making out before getting up, kinda awkward and sometimes scary for her when in fact I am in here somewhere passed out at the bench or under something or floating in the algae pond -" Sort of explaining it like a project he needs to do but is putting it off.
