Leonardo will keep his secrets, for all the other male turtles in this space knew he'd shown off his tail. And that's all they needed to know... maybe he might share laters with them one on one if they asked, but for know he smiles secretively and shrugs. " nothing special..." and sniffs the scent curiously a churr realising that yes thank goodness Raphael was right Addy's scent mostly covered the horrible smell when they were bunched in here like this but he knew once they moved out into the open that would change.


He feels Leo herding them together and he touched his counterparts shoulder and points out a little, closer to Addy and Duncan again and Kovu cause she was close to him Leo was at a good angle to try edging an eye around the rockery and getting a look, cat eyes, turtles eyes were not too bad in the dark. Cats would be better. wildermann he assumed a little less so and maybe nymphs too he had noticed she knew the way but once they came into this dark corridor of sorts the little nymph was using her hands. And he was touched by what she said, though not sure what he wanted to do about it. Aside the mating part of course.


He does for now though silent churr it was more a rumble in his chest and felt against her when Leonardo moved to touch Leo's shoulder. He leans down enough to brush a soft nuzzle into her neck down into the crook of her neck and leave a nip there, not hard enough to hurt but enough to leave [i]his[i] mark there. Waiting to see what his counterpart might pick up on that he wasn't.


Though he was sure he sensed something large hovering out of sight.

When the other Leonardo doesn’t answer Addy’s question, Leo gives her a look. It’s a silent promise that he’ll tell her later if she’s really sure she wants to know.

And as for things Leo’s not doing, sending Addy to check around the corner on the giant spinutod is high on his list. Especially since she has Duncan. Despite that she can probably handle herself, and as a cat she has advantages in night vision and is naturally quiet, she is not ninja, and he’s not sending her in. Instead, Leo gives Duncan’s head one more ruffling rub then slips up against the rocks and carefully makes his way so he can see around the corner. Or at least get a better sense of the space.

It’s warm, unnervingly so. And dark, far warmer and darker than the cave they came in through. He doesn’t know what the heat source is, just that it’s almost straight back. It’s not a fire. He’s pretty sure it’s not the creature itself, which is sort of off to the left.

Leo realizes that he’s relying far more on his other senses than he is on sight. He doesn’t know the others’ training in that area... though he suspects his counterpart at least is capable. Probably big Raphael too, but best not make assumptions. And Leo has a small, high power flashlight in his belt they might be able to blind the beast with. At least temporarily. Maybe...

Leo slips back to the group. His words only just loud enough for his companions to hear.

”She’s in the back left. Eggs along the back wall, mostly. It’s warm and dark, heat from the back, but I don’t know what the source is. How are you guys at working blind?” Leo knows how to fight blind and is confident in his abilities in that area. He just doesn’t know about the others.

Little Raph looked concerned at the questioning. ”Right... you’re staying out here with them.” Raph can at least alert the others and hold off threats temporarily. And Leo has seen the guy use his environment effectively.

And he looks back to the larger turtles for a response.

Raphael wants to whine and ask to hang back too!

But he is a big boy - and lightly shoves Leonardo for keeping his secrets. Mostly teasingly. He watches Leo go and is edgy until he gets back, shuddering at the news the huge female thing is in there. And he is turning the next question to the three ladies, " why would it be so warm in there?" and wondering if he really wanted to know the answer to that or not... like did he really? ... really really?

Raph pouts a little when Lilo said that the female they had killed had been too far away from here for this to be her home. He's not surprised. He had definitely suspected as much, but... it would have been nice.

And at her 'yes' Raph grinned and squeezed her hand. Though... it was probably safer for her to remain here rather than follow them to the capitol city and fight this crazy dragon or whatever.

He was concerned about Little Blue when the guy ducked around the corner to check out the room beyond. Though the guy came back quickly, and didn't seem to have been noticed. Raph also had his concerns about fighting blind. These guys fight blind! He wondered if his own Master Splinter could. It seemed to have been left out of his own training. He'll have to ask about that when he gets home. Though maybe... one of these Leos could at least give him some pointers in that regard. If it's come up already... it might be something they're going to need again later.

Not that he minds staying out here and keeping an eye on the girls and Duncan. There's a giant, female Spinotod in there. He's totally okay with this plan. Though he does feel al ittle bad for his counterpart who has already tussled with these things before. And Raph is sure that the guy could really go the rest of his life without seeing another one.

Leo is gone before Leonardo can offer to go out and he is undisguisedly worried watching and listening. And he doesn't bother hiding the sigh of relief when Leo gets back and he is intent when listening and agreeable of Raph watching over... well probably Addy the most.


He doesn't worry the nymph didn't enjoy his attentions she mewed softly and pressed back against his plastron. And she seemed to shiver under his bite now touching the mark.


He smiles and whispers in the dark. " might be prudent if a couple of us played distraction to the female then... keep her away and moving and focused on them - whilst a couple raid the nest. For just what we need, no more than that and if can maybe avoid hurting her too much to defend the rest."


He was a little concerned with the talk about the warmth and is curious, " what would cause warmth here?" waiting for more input and he felt Raphael should raid the nest with another whilst he Leonardo and someone distracted and fought the spinotod. Only because his brother was all but vibrating with disgust already at the very idea of going near her.

Churr - then soft squeaks watching, worried when Leo left. then he was back and his wooooo, arms out, feet out and the tail dangling all doing a happy version of the woooo hooo happy that dad is back!

That look, she grins and nods, glad for the reassurance she will know!


she is as worried as Duncan when Leo moves away though at first she is not even aware he went, until the soft sounds Duncan made. She reaches back squeezing the little feet  and listening and sniffing. He was back! She manages not to nuzzle him, but her tail does flick down an arm pleased as she could feel Duncan was.


She listens and nods a bit the double teaming distraction and grabbing might be effective, " The nests give off a bit of heat, sometimes it go be vents of either hot water heated from molten rock underground or actual molten rock it self. the nests need the air flow these lower caves get, air flow, warmth and mother, the nests themselves the harden silk is prized, the eggs even more so."

Raphael is disgusted. He hopes he is tagged for egg collecting, though to be fair he is pretty sure that is a whole lot of ick too!


though he is trying to keep his nerves under wraps and not pace about. Mostly because he was unable to in this narrow passge, he is simply too big to be in here

Leo rubs Duncan’s head again now that he’s back then lets the hand trail down Addy’s arm in response to their greetings on his return. Seems he worried all of them more than he thought necessary for such a brief recon. Though he could understand it from Addy and Duncan.

Leo takes a brief moment to consider his counterpart’s words. Only problem is... he’s talking about four going in, and Leo’s counting three.

“It is dark in there. We’re going to be working all but blind. If you and I distract her, and Raphael collects eggs and silk, whose our fourth?” That question is opened to mostly His counterpart and the girls. Oh, and Leo’s not letting Addy take Duncan in there, though as a cat, she would probably be a good choice.

He nods at the heat information.

“It’s humid. I would guess the hot water. Unless she’s bringing water in. Either way, we have to assume that if you make a wrong step back there you may fall in boiling water... or molten lava...”

He frowns for a moment, considering options.

”Otherwise, I can distract her if you two act fast.”

Lilo is equally pouting. She does not like the idea of fighting another female spinotod. The hand squeeze she answers by moving closer, until now she hadn't thought what this journey might mean. And deciding to continue on. It was a big decision and it would bother her a bit when heir not so busy.


She nestles against Raph glad he'll be with Addy and Duncan and.... " you mean to have one of us.... help with the egg collection?" she points at herself and Kovu. " Suppose it makes sense as we'll know which ones would fetch a better pricing." Though she was NOT keen to head out there! Then she thinks on it and sighs a little,
" Well I would Kovu might not have experience in markets, nymphs rarely leave their own communities."

Addy would normally want to be in the thick of the dash and grab. Hey she was a sailor and she enjoyed a degree of adventure. Buuuuut


She would never willingly put Duncan in danger.


A loud purr escapes at Leo's soft touch down her arm - and she looks sheepish reigning in just barely the cat impulse to nuzzle and keep purring, " sorry... mmmm Lilo woooould be the better forth... what ever yous do - be danged careful. Your right Leo though most hot puddles of water might give off steam so at least there is some warning and any molten rock will give off a smell like old farts so use the senses yous do have if eyesight is a bit difficult in this low light."

Duncan is trying to catch the rubbing hand and churring happily, then giggling amused by Addy's purr - she almost sounded like him! he'd enjoyed her attentions before his toes wriggling.

Leonardo smiles, he'd not ask Addy to join them, but wasn't sure if he should ask Lilo or Kovu and was glad the girls figured that on their own he meets the nymphs eyes and makes hand motions slowly, indicating for her to just stay there... hoping she'd understand it, maybe he should try teaching her more English... or um scandian as the Nexians call it.


Not right now though he nods at the reasoning behind Lilo offering to join Raphael in scavenging and looks at Leo, " I'll help you - lets not get bitten or silked up if we can avoid it." he had his counterparts back ! and was ready when he was. A nod at Raphael, knowing he was not happy about it but ready.

There was almost a chuckle at Addy's purr. Leo feels a bit bad about that. He hadn't meant to cause her to do that. "Don't be." Is soft and meant only for her.

Leo gives his counterpart a dubious look, and Leo can feel the one he's getting from the little Raph. Who apparently doesn't like this plan any more than Leo does. He's not a fan of this plan, but he's not going to protest it either. There are some valid points. Still, he doesn't like bringing Lilo into this. He'd actually feel better with Addy in there, if she wasn't carrying Duncan.

But this is the plan they have, and he'll do his best to keep the massive spider distracted so Raphael and Lilo can collect the eggs and silk unhindered.

There's a nod of agreement with Addy's words. "Stick close to Raphael, and it will be fine." He adds to Lilo.

Leo also looks to Raphael. He knows the guy isn't pleased about this, but Leo is making sure he's as ready as he's going to be. Once assured, There's a nod to the larger Leo. No sense in waiting.

Leo kisses Duncan's hand then pulls away gently.

"Let's move." And once more, he's slipping around the corner, deeper into the spinotod's den.

Raph doesn't like this plan. He doesn't like it one little bit. He doesn't like staying out here with Addy, the kid and Kovu while Lilo goes in against a spinotod with the others. Though he's pretty sure the others will do an admirable job of protecting her.

...probably.

He hates this plan.

Still, he's not really in a position to object to it. And he does have faith in these larger turtles.

"Be careful..." Is whispered softly to Lilo.

A grin at Leo, the moments of self doubt and uncertainty gone and now just worry for Leo as he goes out into the den again. But she hoped she'd given all the advice she could and she had seen Leonardos both in action and knew they were capable and strong. Raphael even more strong and just as capable.


She shifts closer to Raph in the dark and wraps her tail about him and the nymph though not close as to prevent them all sprinting off if the others came back int he sortof hurry that meant run for your life!!!

- he wondered at the kiss, he'd seen that a few times, his churring not halting as he watches Leo go little hands reaching ...


and now is trying to mimic this knew thing - pursing his lips as Addy moves closer to Raph, Duncan's feet kicking away and making the mwah mwah sound as he practices this thing...

Slipping back around the corner, Leo is sort of wishing they didn’t have to do this. Still, they do, and so he will.

Shell this thing’s big... and that smell...

Here goes nothing. Leo knows that if there was enough light, he could see the spinotod from his current position. As it is, he’s relying on his other senses, but he can definitely feel the massive and powerful creature whose den they’re waltzing into.

There’s a nearly silent whisper of metal as he slides his swords from their sheathes. There’s a look to his counterpart, checking if he’s ready. Not that they can see in this den, but he’s sure the other Leonardo can feel him as well as Leo can sense the larger turtle. Once sure, he’s ready... It’s a Raph-style distraction, but a distraction all the same

”Hey, Ugly!”

Duncan is practicing his kissy face at Kovu and Raph.

Kovu makes a soft noise when Leonardo joins his counterpart around the corner. She is at first completely distracted from the -

She sees the little one and watches the face he is pulling at her, a bit of a grin and happy sound halfway between a purr and a cooo.... if the Klaustreich and Genio Innocuo made him, so pretty pretty and like living gemstone she was eager for her own!

Leonardo is indeed ready - a snort at Leo's opening tactic - but he uses the moment when the absurd looking to him spinotod turns towards Leo and screeches a little hurrying his way snapping her pinchers, at first for now she is unaware the egg sack is the target - she even rears upwards to show off her round and ready for more egg making body to Leo.


He moves past further away fromt he sack hoping to encourage Leo to turn her this way, away from what would soon be an attack on her eggs. Using a sword to twang lightly at the silk strands all around them. She does turn to tlook but was still showing her belly off at Leo.

She is touched by raph's concern and makes sure to take both his hands in her own and squeeze them her thumbs brushing over knuckles, kiss his worried lips, though in the dark half chin half lip in the dark. " thanks I will be." she promises.


And she was sure if she wasn't being careful the big turtle with her now would be best sort of back up and shield. She edges her eye around the wall to watch as the Leo begins and Leonardo moves to obviously draw the big, much bigger than before, females attention away from her bulging egg sack. She can feel Raphael do the same thing and they watch Raphael muttering, " if and when she turns away... ewwww poor Leo - um we dash out, me do a smash, you do a graba nd stuff as fast as you can as much as you can." his voice low and strained he was nervous.


So was she she nods, then realising he probably was watching not looking at her she adds, " okay..." both waiting for the perfect moment.... or near perfect.

Oooohh... Shell, she's big! And the rearing back and showing her full body is nothing short of terrifying. But Leo has fought large nasty things before. The spasmosaur was bigger. Though he suspects this spinotod is faster.

Leo moves quickly in the direction indicated by his counterpart. He also twangs at the silks. He's being purposely obnoxious and making a lot of noise. It should cover any sound that Raphael and Lilo might make.

"Follow the bouncing turtle!"

Raph watches, concerned as Lilo and the larger Raphael head off, and wait for their moment to move. He's not particularly worried about the Leos. They're Leos. They'll be fine.

And he's sure the big guy will take care of Lilo, but still. He doesn't like this.

He takes a slight step forward, in front of Addy and Kovu. Positioning himself slightly so he's between whatever might come around the corner and the girls.

Even Raph can't resist the kid making kissy faces though, and he gives the little guy a slight smile before turning back toward the corner the Leos went around. It's starting to get loud in there. It's going to be time for Raphael and Lilo to move any moment now.

He grins and is proud of his kissy face - he will try it on dad - wait whats that noise? his eye ridge rises and he hangs onto his sling trying to look around and see. Sniffing the air.

furious she's not enticing the little genio innocuo male into giving up the goods and by his noise and antics the large female scuttles after him, feeling the twangs and now noting the larger male genio innocuo! she screechers louder cashing them both pausing now at them to shriek and display her belly again, the array of markings and her bold colors of bronze brown black and greys mingled with white.



Leonardo hoots with laughter and once he is certain unlike himself and Leo the spinotod had no trouble seeing int he dim unreliable cave lighting, this time he displays his tail with the intent to both entice and enrage the spinotod further and only when his fellow Leo was too busy to see it - and like he did with the nymphs and in an impressive ( well he thought so in any case )display of muscles and control he flashes open the cloacal lids, teasing the female eyes with teasing glimpse of the tip of what he jokingly called his 'ninjato' in moments alone with particularly close clients, pausing balancing on the fine but strong silks leading further away with his counterpart from the sack, keeping the metal swords away from play and mostly to pick at the silks and twang them more. " you want these hunks of male meat you gotta come get em!" a cringe there he rarely if ever 'dirty' talked in displays like this, maybe that's why he slipped slightly into Raph accent?


Whatever it was working she is trying to follow them both and becoming both enraged and excited if her increased venom productions and trying to catch either one of them in her silks was any indication.

Raphael hissed a now at Lilo and they scurried across the open flooring Raphael relying more of the scent and feel of the humid mass to lead him and Lilo over, his sai in hands on the way and flash opening a slit along one side, the off side, Raphael keeping his bulk between Lilo and the racket of the Leos and the monsterous night fuel spider lady!


He cuts away a huge swatch of the top layers of the nest and rolls the silk up like a carpet stuffing as couple into Lilo's basket as she is picking out the choiciest eggs he figures by the fact she was shaking and sniffing and listening to some. his 'basket' is becoming quiet full in a short amount of time, now if the Leos can keep her busy until they retreat? He is turning Leo back towards the opening behind them maybe some feet too far left but they were heading back...

There is absolutely nothing enticing about the giant, bold spider belly! Not. A. Thing. Leo isn’t like Raph when it comes to bugs, but seriously. This is a bit much.

Leo might be busy, but he’s not relying on sight right now. He knows exactly what his counterpart is doing. No, he’s not going to follow suit. But he will pause and twang a couple more of the silks.

”Come on, Big Mama.” More taunting than anything else, but he punctuates the words with a weird, Mikey-esque dance that the creature may interpret as she pleases. He’s not showing his tail, but it’s probably at least strange enough to garner attention.

“Slide right, slide right,” is intended for Raphael, but he adds it to his dance in the unlikely event the spinotod understands him.

Addy can kinda see around Raph the movements of Lilo and Raphael and she touches Raph's shoulder, pleased at first she had been he and Duncan were finding more common ground, though right now she was more concerned with... " Raph you may have to wave your bandana a little in the low light it might be enough for the two to head the right way... their veering off a little." there was a roaring that made Addy hiss and Kovu whistle in worry... some where a mountain troll had heard the commotion and was not happy about it.

Their tactics of drawing the female away from the nest thieves was working... she was still torn between rushing at Leo and trying to simultaneously tempt him, and shotting her webs Leonardo's way and clearly want to come closer.


Though there was a reverberating roar from somewhere that in the midst of being glad Leo redirected Raphael and trusting that there was be further help for his big bulky younger brother in navigating further Leonardo balances on the webs stretched over a drop of indeterminate height from her and listens. Almost roaring back but recalling he didn't want to stir the pot more or set Leo inadvertently so he held his piece -the spinotod screeching back and scurrying forward to Leo quickly thankfully still distracted, for the moment - though another roar like that one might make her pause or decide to look about...

Lilo started at the call out from Leo, hearing Raphael mutter a thanks under his breath but it was in a glad sort of way she feel the large body shift and the arm move her with it -


then the roar and if not for that big arm she might have squeaked and gave into the inner wildermann and fled into the dark of the caves and tunnels, but Raphael kept he on course and though she senses he wants to rush too more now he is slowing them both and looking to aim them right she feels.

Raph does as asked, slipping off his red bandanna, he also moves juuust around the corner silently to give Lilo and his counterpart an assist finding the exit. He might not be great in this sort of darkness, but he can definitely manage the few steps in and out that would be required for this.

He also makes a very soft sound. One that should carry the short distance to Raphael and Lilo, but shouldn’t carry to, and definitely not over the noise of the Leos. Especially if the Big Guy is paying attention.

Though he can’t see anything in there, he casts a worried glance toward the Leos wondering how they’re going to get out of there.

The roar was concerning, but Leo can’t let himself be distracted by it, he dances across the silks staying out of the range of the spinotod’s bite and reach, and hopefully just far enough away to get clear if she tries to web him. As he moves, he silently begs his counterpart to not roar back. At least not in the cave! And there’s a silent sigh of relief when the roar doesn’t come.

He can tell that Lilo and Raphael are almost clear, and he’s pretty sure that’s the little Raph stepping in to give a directional assist to the retreating pair. Good.

Now the distraction team just has to figure out a way out of the mess they’re in.

So far it’s pretty much the plan. They’re just getting to the hard part.

There is a muted flash of red and as Leo had called out sneakily more right! more right!


He grabs Lilo's shoulder and makes sure to steer her right back towards her Raph because he'dfelt the tension in her little body, he was faster then she was and right on her heel... and the Leo's, they were gonna have to trust could find a way out - as the roar was tailing off and he could hear other sounds, like the whooping and hollering of excitement and footsteps, he didn't have to be a local to realise there was goblins on the move now too. " out! out - if the Leo's make it out this way they will need the tunnel clear to run for it - if they can't... we'll have to trust they can make their way out... come on move!" Though once their clear of the caves and have no pursuers he was so searching for the blue boys if they hadn't come to them!

Of course Leonardo knew this was not a time for roaring back, even if it did rankle and he did want to put that other male, the mountain troll in his place.


still no! not now and ah! dodging the big gal was maybe relatively simple but -


he didn't have much time to be relieved when Raphael headed the right way when there is further noise and ruckus and he is pretty sure he knows what else has stirred because of her screechers and their attempts to cover any noises the nest robbers were making.


" we'd love to flirt more but ...." He is eyeing the route they took here and the directions the noisy hordes sound like they are coming and then at his counterpart, " dodge past her and make a break for it or keeping drawing her upwards and hope to find another way out?" both possibilities had their down sides. At least this time if he is separated from Addy and Duncan a while the two are not on their own.


He wonders if the nymph will keep following his new little family and wait also?


He sure hopes so.

Leo hates these options. It's either lead the spinotod back toward the others, or separate.

While he hates the options, the fact that the girls and Duncan are with the Raphs does make him feel a little better about the situation. And he's hoping that if the spinotod follows them, that they can draw the other things that are responding to the noise they've made.

So while he hates the options, he does make a decision.

"Up."

And he really hopes there a way out this direction, though, he's sure they could at least get back to this chamber later, and go out the way they came. It would cost them time though.

He pauses for a brief moment, feeling the room and the air. Then he bounds upwards, toward a tunnel and a cool breeze he'd felt on his face.

As Raphael and Lilo return, Raph puts his bandanna back on. He smiles at Lilo, grateful that they're at least back, though it sounds like their problems may have only begun. And he's right there with his counterpart.

"All for that. Plow the way." The last was for the Big Guy. Because who knows where those new things are, and the spinotod is unlikely to follow them out of the cave. Raph can keep the group together from the rear as well as Raphael can, but he can't plow through a throng of goblins like the Big Guy.

A nod and Leonardo keeps level with his counterpart heading upward, kicking away a sudden rush of male spinotods coming at them as they head upwards the female had hesitated, she'd glanced back at her egg sack and the sound she released seemed to have called the males into attack.


She was coming up furious now no attempts to entice the male genio innocuo if she caught them Leonardo was sure they were food.

Probably for the next lot of eggs.


And dim growing lights fomr eds of some tunnels and a roar from the largest they were moving towards told them where th goblins where going to emerge froma nd where about the mountain troll might be inhabiting, the fresher air came from higher up - this would no doubt put them both far from their group ... still they had to get out...


A arrow whizzed past him, though Leonardo was not sure if these projectiles like bullets wouldn't be able to penetrate his armour he does move closer to his counterpart as they rush upwards to offer deflection. " like a damned ants nest..." he grumbles.


The air was fresher and colder the higher up they went and he could at least hear the faint sounds of rain... and now they were in other female webs he could see other large bodied females moving their way attracted by the activity and commotion and the way the Leo's had to use the webbing to get higher.

Leo jumped and ran a couple steps along the wall of the cave, slightly behind Leonardo. He bypassed one of the spinotod males, he kicked off, and slams one into a second, possibly a third, but Leo didn’t stick around long enough to find out. It at least creates something of a temporary traffic jam for the angry female or anything else behind them.

Unlike his counterpart, Leo’s plastron is not bulletproof. Whether or not these arrows could pierce it is not something he’s interested in testing. There’s a slight grunt and a sharp ting as he comes around from his jump and deflects an arrow back toward the wall he had been running on with one of his swords.

“And here I thought spiders left the nest.”

He slips back up right behind his counterpart, slightly to his left. Leo stays close as they continue their climb.

“I’m beginning to understand Raphael’s distaste for anything creepy crawly.”

The fresher air is promising. These are the spinotod’s tunnels. The spinotod’s turf. Space to move and work will be a bigger advantage to the turtles than their pursuers. Still, he knows they’re a long way from the others. Hopefully most of the pursuers are here, and leaving the others alone...

Kovu looked like she might hesitate, Raphael growl and gives her a gentle tug as he moves to get ahead of them, Addy like wise hesitated but she too was pulled into place with a roll of his eyes and a gruff, " ya boyfriends will be fine - stay ahead of Raph, but not to close behind me if I have to fight... I am quiet large..."


in other words don't get in the way where he might accidentally plow over allies and friends as well as enemies. And once he assured the girls no matter how they wanted to go after their Leos in blue would stay behind him he sets off, not as fast paced as he had been with Raph earlier on account Addy was carrying a more toddler shaped and weighted turtle tott on her back. Though no less a battering ram was he simply crushing the few foolish male spinotods coming to cut them off. and luckily it seemed most the goblins were after the Leos.


Didn't mean that a column of the lord of the rings goblin body doubles didn't get excited and give chase when the small group dashed past a opening ... but the lost interest when Raphael ploughed through a section of tumbled down rocks that had formed a wall.


Why the direct route? well it put them back outside where they started and now they were out he turns, " Kovu, Lilo... you are more the jungle people we need some place high away from the possible flooding from this rain and defendable from attacks from followers." aware Kovu couldn't understand some of his words but hoping she could infer from context and what words she did know and the fact he was gesturing and gesticulating. And he would make sure they were safe and stayed until the Leos found them.

Lilo is still quiet freaked but she makes out the smile in the darkness of the tunnelling and grins back managing a light kiss to the smile for Raph as Raphael keeps Kovu and Addy in line and starts them off into the dark retracing their steps back out - with a minor detour straight through a wall! Of course it didn't occur to her it was a wall made of boulders and rocks that had slid into place a time ago.


She blinking in the day light though muted as it was with the rain as Raphael brings them out into to and she listens, and immediately begins looking upwards for a big tree.


Kovu was puzzling, she was glancing back at the caves and she wanted to go back in - come goblins or trolls she wanted to find the big Genio Innocuo wearing blue - but .... she listens and then gestures - making noises for them to follow her, come come! in her own language and then again in theirs.

" hah! hopefully it means they wont come further after us..." and he feels Leo behind him and just in time there is a volley of arrows - Leonardo draws his head into his shell his arms following so for a few moments he was nothing but a carpace and plastron with legs in front of Leo - the arrows struck and hit but like bullets they ricohetted or fell off and he pops back out with a laugh, " yeah! that's cool! bullet and arrow proof..." he hoots with amused relief rushing them further upwards grabbing a few arrows and flinging them at male spinotods, at one female and back at the Goblins unlike him they were not projectile proof.


The ground shook and something grey and granite skinned began unfolding itself through an opening...

“It’s a nice wi-“ Leo cuts himself off as his counterpart pulls his head and arms into his shell. Leo catches on, and jumps fully behind him as the volley of arrows comes.

“I’m starting to understand why you guys are a little crazy... you can afford to be.”

He does continue to follow, and takes out anything coming from behind. He skids to a stop at the new creature.

“I take it this is a mountain troll...?

Once Raphael starts his race,

“Demolition Crew, party of one.” He chuckled. Then he gave the girls a firm push after his counterpart, and brought up the rear. He turned to face a couple of goblins that got too close.

“Get many girls with a face like that?” He lashed out at the nearest one, catching a club with a sai, and kicking the creature away before Raphael cleared the way outside and their pursuers took off. He picked up the club and threw it after them.

“Yeah, you better run!” He then turned to herd the girls through the gap and followed them outside.

He glanced to the other Raphael as the nymph started leading them off. It’s sort of asking if Raphael wants the front or the rear. Raph might not be the fighter... or battering ram that his counterpart is, but he can handle a goblin.

She didn't like just leaving, but she understood - and would no doubt worry until she and Duncan saw Leo again. And Leonardo too.


Still she is glad to be out of that dark, dank, damp, humid feeling of the cave and spilling out into the moody dark day but brighter than it had been, and becoming bedraggled looking immediately thanks to the deluge of rain but they were off again and she had a moment to elbow Raph lightly and grin, " Nice work with the Goblin, their smelly buggers."

Duncan realised when they were outside they'd left Leo - and he was not happy wriggling and chirping - but Addy's hand on his foot squeezing lightly as she speaks to Raph keeps the little guy from making his calls louder.


Barely.

Leonardo chuckles and damn it the troll is blocking the way the cool and fresher smelling air. Blocking with it's awful stink... like a bad gym locker... or the public loo no one takes much pride or time or effort in cleaning regularly. " yeah we can... as far as we know we can survive extreme blood loss and adrenaline overdose... bullets and sky diving without parachutes.... Donatello has only really just began to explore the capabilities of our mutagen and mutant bodies. Running tests and things against pathogens ... whoa.... yeah Raph sized, stinky and loud? gotta be a mountain troll."


He grabs a bit of rock launcing it at the beast blocking their way out - swords now coming out as the arrows whizzed towards them again blocking as many as he could and glancing up ward the goblins hadn't fired as many that time - he noted some had left probably to head them off... and below some more spider yucks were closing in on them. " this might be a gross battle." he anticipated blood and much gross bug bits.


The troll was squeezing itself out but wouldn't leave the small ledge even though the rock bouncing off it made it roar again. Or maybe it was his voice? the rock did it no harm but the noises of the spinotod and the goblins seemed to be causing it to turn to face them and roar angrily.

Leo doesn't really get a chance to process the information from his counterpart regarding their mutation, but he did hear it and makes a quick mental note. He lets his counterpart continue to face the mountain troll and turns back to back. He makes a sort of soft sound in the back of his throat at the 'might be a gross battle.' Leo's in the 'definitely will be a gross battle' camp.

Facing the smaller male spinotods and the goblins that have come up behind them, he speaks one more time before this all starts.

"You know you want to. Go ahead. Do it." It's permission for Leonardo to roar again, and this time Leo will join him. And actually that burst of adrenaline he got from the last one, aimed at the right opponents, could be really useful right about now...

" hahaha yeah you got them moving." pleased by his counterpart and this time when they began to move off again and following Kovu thank goodness she understood what he was asking and seemed to have a place in mind to take them. He only hoped the Leos would find them. Before the hunters did no doubt this craziness attracted them.


And stays beside his counterpart this time but slight away to the side so the ladies were sort of between them as they run along, feeling rejuvenated in the rain, enjoying the cool liquid but already there was an inch on the ground already! splashing as they moved.


Kovu had a place in mind and was setting a good pace, but at least not one that left Addy struggling - and she had to the little boy was restless on her back.

Raph chuckled at Addy. "If Pit stink and a porta-john at a ren faire had a child, it'd be a goblin." Addy probably doesn't know what either a porta-john or a ren faire is, but whatever. She'll probably get the gist.

And the laugh at his counterpart is honest! Raph knows darned well that the goblins ran off after Raphael crashed through a wall. They didn't want to tangle with the big guy.

"And don't you forget it!" But he will play it up!

He takes his cues from Raphael though. He's used to following his Leo, and rarely challenges him, so taking direction from Raphael isn't much of an issue. He does sort of wish they had one of the Leos with their sixth sense thing though. Would be really helpful right about now. Though they'll manage. He's sure of it!

" With pleasure..." Leonardo grins and there is at first a soft grunt as he shifts his stance widening his chest and fully expecting his counterpart to join in, send what they could running and charge the rest, the troll for access to that tunnel to get out...


challenge roar


Loud and thunderous and echoing in the mountain it may have been reverberating up and down the hollow out where they were, up into the dark of the peaks and down into the darkness where they came from - and he was a tad relieved when the roar sent a few goblins running for it, and some of the male smaller bodied spinotods, the females came on - but judging by the belly flashing and the increased web shooting he and Leo were attractive again not morsels to snack on.


The troll hesitated but angrily swung at them earning a slash from Leonardo's swords, the creatures dark blood running.

Leonardo is facing the troll, Leo faces anything coming up behind them. Mostly spinotods and goblins. He lets his counterpart start. Leo hasn't really roared before, but... after that last one, he's pretty sure he can figure it out in the moment.

Leo is smaller, slightly younger, and that will show in his roar. Compared to the larger turtle, Leo's is slightly brassier, and is missing the deepest bass rumble his counterpart emits. There are a couple of higher overtones that almost causes it to border on an angry screeching. It adds a slicing quality to Leonardo's thunderous rumble. And though different, it's powerful in it's own way.

One of the larger goblins that hadn't run off, gets too close, and meets the business end of Leo's swords, emitting it's own pained shriek as Leo slices deep into it's flesh then hisses another warning at the creature and those around it. More of the goblins and most of the male spinotods, even the larger ones, have decided that these Genio Innocuo are not worth stopping. Their attempts to exit are creating a bit of a backlog for the larger female spinotods to get through. Good.

Leo takes a moment to turn and present a united front to the troll.
